Default streaming music...

hey. i had to restore my computer and therefore lost all of my previous settings with the 360! i was able to stream music and video using windows media connect and Media Player 9 (as in NOT 11). but now that im trying to do it again, i can't find any links that involve windows media player 9 or 10. it only has instructions for 11! i personally hate media player 11 so im trying my hardest to not have to use it! i just need to be able to stream music without downloading 11. i have XP sp 2. ANY help is really appreciated. thank you.

or Zune, but if you don't like WM11 then you will hate the Zune software...

only 10+ supported streaming without media connect....and since they want you to upgrade to 10 or 11 (and there is no reason you shouldn't if you have a valid copy of windows) they have removed all links/support for media connect...

Otherwise you are stuck with 3rd party stuff, like TVersity...but I prefer WMP/Zune

so there's no way to do it with wm10 or under? i have tversity, windows media connect all installed, but i can't remember what i did to get the 360 working with it. when i go to access the music from my 360 through the blade menu, it shows my computer there, but can never 'connect' to it. i think there was some plug in or driver i needed to install to make it work with media connect.

anybody know what im missing or what i need to do to make it work with tversity? thanks.

I don't think you hate WMP11 but you can't get it because your windows isn't legal.

So you actually use Windows Media Player to do something other than stream to your 360? Why?
