Default 360 + PC Monitor..

Does anyone know if you can connect Logitech X-210's to a 360? The speaker wire is currently going from the subwoofer to the PC. Would it be a matter of plugging this wire into the 360 and taking it out of the PC?

I was also looking to use my PC monitor for the 360. My monitor is HDCP compliant and my monitor has a DVI-D connector, like this:

I was wondering if the 360 would work with my monitor and if so, what cable/s would I need for the picture/sound to work?

Thanks

You need a HDMI cable to DVI-D, HDMI in the 360, ect.

Should work. I know they make them for a fact.

On of these then? How would I go about getting the speakers working? The subwoofer is plugged in via power supply and the speakers plug into the back of the sub and then the other end goes in the green slot at the back.

That cord should work like a charm, should, but I am not 100% positive.

As for the audio I don't know, I don't own a 360, so I don't know what cords are used.

As long as your 360 has a HDMI port that will work fine.

To get sound you need one of these

What connections are on the back of your speakers?

That one end into the 360, and the A/V plugs into the red and white plugs.
No optical? Aww.

No optical isn't going to make a difference they're only stereo speakers.

From my speakers, I have a black wire with an L shaped plug going into the subwoofer and a green cable plugged into my sound card.

The you will need one of these:
Stereo phono to 3.5mm jack

and a female 3.5mm jack to female 3.5mm jack to join your speaker cable into the one above. To make it simpler you should also be able to find a stereo phono to female 3.5mm jack instead of the cable above, but these aren't as common.

You can get all these in maplin if you have one near or there should be loads on ebay.

I can't find a female 3.5mm to female 3.5mm on eBay. So the red and white cables go into the 360 and the other end goes..somewhere.

The other end connects to the cable from your speakers that is now going into your sound card.

Or if that cable unplugs from the back of the subwoofer you can plug the cable from your 360 straight in to the sub.

That female 3.5mm jack to female 3.5mm might be called a 3.5mm joiner, coupler or headphone cable joiner.

Yeah, the cable does come out of the subwoofer. One end is the L shaped plug that goes into the sub and the other end of the cable plugs into the green slot at the back.

Then just buy the Stereo phono to 3.5mm jack cable and plug it in to the sub.

Then there will be no green wire in the PC and the red and white parts go into 360 and the 3.5mm jack goes into subwoofer? But would the sound output from the speakers? Sorry to sound like a complete dumbass, but I know nothing when it comes to subwoofers etc.

Thats right. On your speaker set the amplifier is built in to the subwoofer, so the sound is sent from your sub to your speakers.

So having no green cable in the PC won't matter, as long as the red a white cable are in the 360 and he 3.5mm in the sub?

The way you speaker are set up is a cable come from your PC into the sub. Then there are cables that come from your sub to go to your speakers and sub. Correct?

All you're trying to do is instead of getting the sound from your PC your trying to get it from your 360.

The speakers remote has a green cable that plugs into the back of the PC, which I presume that controls the remote. Then there's a cable from both speakers that plugs into the subwoofer.

Oh, never seen a setup like that. You will need to join the cable from the 360 onto the end of that black to get it working with something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5mm-Jack-Cou...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5mm-Jack-Cou...QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5mm-Jack-to-...713.m153.l1262
and the audio breakout for the 360 and it will work.

Does the audio breakout come with the 360 or not? I'll be getting a 360 Premium. If not, where can I buy one?

Also, after I get these cables, where will they all plug in to?

The breakout only comes standard with the Elite model. Not sure how available it is on its own

AFAIK this wont be possible because you cant physically connect the AV cable and the HDMI cable simultaneously. They wont fit.
You'll have to find a "thin" HDMI cable, or a "thin" 3rd party AV cable. Using official HDMI & AV cables from Microsoft DEFINITELY dont fit.

You monitor will work with the 360 using a HDMI -> DVI-D cable.

Oh great. Well, what else can I do for the sound? Open up the casing on the component cable and use the optical out on that?
