Default HDTV help!

Ok i just got this sweet ass flat screen lcd hdtv 32" and it looks awesome so far on graw, cod2, Splinter cell but when i play oblivion it looks pretty pixelated (if thats a word) i mean it looks sharper and nicer for the colors but it seems like my new tv made this game look worse by exposing more detail or something. should i be running my 360 at 720 or 1080i. or could it just be oblivion?

It could be your TV. I don't have a problem with my Sharp Aquos flat screen HDTV Obliviom looks great in both 720p and 1080i (everything does). Which company is your TV from?

Nope, all games are rendered at 720p then scaled to whatever res.

720p will give you a better image cause its closer to the native res of your TV (assuming its a 720p TV)

Its 720p then.

Look closely...
  • True HDTV
  • True HDTV programming is broadcasted in one of two resolutions: 1080i or 720p.
  • Resolution
  • 1366 x 768
That res = pretty much 720p (1280x720) so using 1080i won't give as good a picture.

That said, it has a vga input, so use the x360 vga cable and set your res at 1360x768 on the 360, will look even better with those extra 80x48 pixels more

It won't take too long to try both options.
