This is a discussion on Component cable question within the Xbox 360 Capabilities forums, part of the Xbox 360 Main category; I have a component cable for my Xbox. Will that same cable work on my (future) Xbox 360?...

I've been grinding through the numbers to see if it would be cheaper to get the Pro system with the $100 Micro Center rebate, or get the $100 core through Amazon and buying all of the overpriced stuff to make it a pro.
If I need to buy the component cable as well, it looks like the $300 pro-bundle wins. |

Apparently I fail at the maths. Thanks for that link.
Edit: Uh oh, they forgot to add a headset. That makes it even with the Micro Center rebate, assuming I go with Amazon's free "We'll ship it when we're damn well ready" shipping. |
