Default Connecting 360 to an ethernet nework

Once you have connected to a ethernet network is their any way to have the xbox show and be displayed in the network places on the other computers on that network, I only say this because then i can send files to the xbox hard drive.

Nope, you can't send files to the 360 but you can stream them with Windows Media connect or Windows Media Player 11.

You should not use either of those when you can use TVersity to stream most video formats.
