Is it possible to take the hard drive from one 360, plug it into another 360, and retain all the game save data on the hard drive, or will the save data be corrupt on the new console.

I was also wondering about this question, as I wanted to play Burnout at a friend's house with my savefile. You probably have to recover your gamertag on the new 360 as well.

Provided the 360's both have the same dashboard then there shouldn't be an issue.
The only time you get problems with corruption or incompatibility is taking a HDD off of an up to date xbox 360 and putting it on a 360 with an older dashboard. If you are going to put it on an old dashboard you will have to "prep" the drive which means buying an xsata or other alternative pc connector. |
