I think ive heard something like 180 quests BTW... Someone posted a checklist back a billion pages, i'll check google for the eact number
found it 200 quests it says on this checklist but i don't think they are counting the new purchaseable updates...

what difficulty do you guys play this game at?
i left it at regular for a long time, not knowing you could change it... but hard was a litle too hard so i leave it a little higher than the middle...
I put at the easiest setting for the first few hours and gradually bumped up the difficulty. Its on the hardest difficulty 90% of the time now :Punk: I only lower it when I'm having problems and cant "wait" so that i can heal.Zitat:

as soon as i put the difficulty up from the easiest to about the middle i gained 5 levels in a few hours. Its almost impossible to gain levels if its too easy.Zitat:

Oblivion's game world has to be one of the largest and most complex for a non-MMORPG.

Morrowind was bigger. And the original Elder Scrolls: Arena was by far the biggest map ever. It took (real time) 2 weeks to walk from one end of the map to the other. then again it was the full Tamriel map and not just a province like morrowind or cyrodill.Zitat:

I never took more than a glance into the guide. I kept meaning to get it too. Too late now, I don't really play anymore. 130 hours was enough. Oblivion definately did a number on my social life.

well F***, I couldnt get into my house, so i had to start a new game. I'm a mage with full chameleon now, and ive only been playin on this account for 2 days. :surprised
thats weird...(about th house) If its patched that shouldn't happen, and if you don't have the patch, i would install it and try again...
Well, I uninstalled the patches to do some glitches, and i put about 10,000 arrows in the top part of my house. I think thats why I cant get in, cuz theres too much stuff to load.

So I finally started playing this again, and thanks for the tip about adjusting the difficulty in tough spots twelve, I owe you one.
Quick question - Can you be in more than one guild at once?
I answered my own question and I'm in the Thieves, Fighters and Mages Guild's at the moment.
What's the easiest way to make money early off in the game? I'm only at Level 3 currently.
Also, is there an easy way to increase the amount of items you can carry at one time?

There is a ring(sorry don't know where it is) that increases the amount of items but like...100-300 points...depending on the ring...also...when you shut an oblivion gate...sometimes the orbs that come out from there can be used with an item to increase your cumberence...thats what i did once...really good.
As far as money...I'd do the arena quests...
I haven't started the Arena Quests yet, maybe tonight though. Can you start it at a weakling level like I'm at right now?

What's the quickest way to own a house early off in the game? I don't want to murder someone yet and steal the house, but I need a place to drop off a bunch of my junk. I'm becoming over encumbered too often.
Edit - I just got decked out in a full Blades outfit and it's a decent amount heavier than what I was previously rocking.
Get the Strong Potion Of Feather, I use it all the time when exploring. You can drink like 4 of them at once, they allow you to carry 400 points more.
I'd recommend doing it as one of the first things. The oponents will be easier as they level with you. The higher your level the harder it is. You'll probably gain at least 2 levels in the arena anyway, and a buttload of money. I have an awesome tip for making the final battle easier too.Zitat:

Regarding your problem with holding too much stuff. My suggestion is sell it. Or alternatively you can store it at the mages or fighters guilds. But if you do store it at one of the guilds then any of the guild members can use it. I lost an excellent Katana this way. Which I got back by killing the member and looting it off him, it got me suspended but it was worth it to get this sword back.
Looks like I'll be starting the Arena tonight, thanks for the tips guys. It's sad, but I've been thinking about which sidequests I'm going to be doing tonight all day at work today.
I did that when I still played it a lot. lol
I need to plug my 360 back in and finish off the story mode. then all I have left is the numerous individual quests that i've missed. I've done all the guilds.
haven't played my 360 for at least a month because I've been decorating my room, been on holiday and been bored of the games. My room still isn't finished :(
I plowed through the Arena last night and was able to save up the 5K to buy that haunted house and complete that sidequest. I finally have a place to de-stock all of my items when running around.

there is also a cheap house in bavil for 4k. only just bought this one myself and there is also a small one in the imperial city market district for 2k. no much help now after you have one but just for future reference if your looking for a cheap house.
