Ive had my 360 for quite and while now and have been getting a Disk Error every little bit. First it started when I got Gears Of War. This became a neusance because when I was playing Live the 360 blade would pop out saying I got the error and I was forced to restart my 360. Now I have recently bought Guitar Hero II and got the disk error and I am again forced to restart my 360. Now my question is, is it the games or is it my 360. If it IS my 360 that is not a problem because I have a 2 year warrenty. (This doesnt happen with Call of Duty 3 or GRAW 1 and 2).
I get that on occasion with Oblivion and Gears as well. If you do wind up calling customer support to get an official explanation, report back here what they told you.
i've heard it happens on launch 360s alot
i've had it 2 times since i got mine (last xmas) both with pgr3
I would just exchange it to be safe, especially if it's a 2 year no questions warranty.
My system is a launch system and i've never gotten a read error, although lately my 360 sometimes reads games as DVD and then shows me the message "This is an xbox 360 game, please put it in an xbox 360 to play it", as if I had put it in a reg dvd player or something.....I attribute this to a dirty DVD drive though, as I can see dust in it....and it only just started happening.
