Honestly, just dont get it, it does pose a risk of breaking your xbox, and secondly, the xbox doesn't need a cooler, do you think Microsoft designed a console that wouldnt be able to cool itself properly? No.

anyone who buys this wasted theyre money. it has broken some xboxes. but it wont break your xbox for sure.
My parents bought me one for christmas and it gets hot, over heats, random crashes, the plastic starts to melt around the power...
luckily i spotted this and removed it!
Yeah, I'd avoid these like the plaque. You shouldn't need a cooler for your console if you keep it in a well ventilated, clean area.
Its now sitting behind my console so my parents think its being used lol.
Just tell them it may potentially burn down the house, i'm sure they won't mind you throwing it away then....
really it will wreck you XBOX!!!!
Even my PS3cooling fan almost destroys my PS3...
maybe all of the coolingfan breaks your consoles
I had one for a little but took it out after it caused my xbox 360 to get the 3 rings of death. Just took it out and my 360 was fine again.

Isn't Nyko one of those third-party companies, like MadCatz?? If they are, I would not trust them. Microsoft should make their own intracoolers.
They won't, kuz it would be like saying "OUR CONSOLES OVERHEAT SO BUY THIS TO COOL IT OFF!"
They aren't stupid.

I know the problem on 360 is that the 360 expects a certain amount of power to be going in, and splits it up in a very specific manner, for certain devices...and if some other device (ie. intercooler) is draining even a few volts, it can mess everything up...Sony should be doing the same thing i'm sure......
I bought one and it made my 360 turn off by itself and the power brick would go from orange light to a red light all the time. I ended up getting the pelican fan stand and it works like a charm.

the sony ps3 has its own fan inside but i readded an addon fan connected to the usb so it breaks...Originally Posted by Shatterdome
i think almost nyko product breaks your system, search the gooogle and see many ppl using the nyko products and it destroys ur system..
What you are doing is ok, as you are drawing power from usb, which the PS3 controls.
If nyko was smart they would just have their coolers plug into the USB (which I think some other 3rd party actually did) and not touch the actual connection to the wall...and add a USB hub for more connections....
lmao btw i have the intercooler too, it sux, comes loose sometimes and makes the 3 red lights come up...i dont use it anymoreOriginally Posted by Shatterdome
