Halo/halo 2 were enough to buy the XBOX!! Xbox live adds to the experience as well. Games like Ninja Gaiden, PGR, Splinter Cell, Unreal Tourn, Mech Assault, Star Wars KOTOR I/II..etc
PS2 had some good games, but I spend more time on XBOX now. PS2's time has expired after a few years ;)
Wow your opion on the console is messed up. there are plenty of great games and series, PGR, Halo, Mechassult, Ninja Gaiden, Splinter Cell, those are just a few. there are plenty of great games if you look.
EDIT: also KOTOR 1 not 2, Fable(ok, not great), Conker, Advent Rising

The xbox is a way better system then ps2. the gfx on the ps2 suck.
the gay memory cards that you need for it suck. Have you seen forza motorsport for the xbox gfx look good the sound is amazing (i.e saleen mustang) :D . the games dont load slow like on ps2. The xbox is a better system hardware wise. the ps2 has some ok games i hate final fantesy i dont know why but i do :eh: just face the fact that xbox is better all the way around. :Punk:
Like has been said. If you think the Halo series is the only good games on the Xbox, you need to play some more games

Xbox has a handful of games I like. 5 to be exact, really not much considering I have over 50 PS2 and 50 Gamecube games. ;)
It caters to the FPS crowd, and I'm not much of a shooting enthusiast.

Xbox360 for Quake 4, Halo 3, Gears of War, PGR3, and..... PREY (that game looks awesome beyond my mind can comprehend)
FFXIII may or may not also be on Revolution and X360.
THe PS3 exclusive stuff has prety much shrunk to FF, MGS and Armored Core. thats it. So thats why i want a 360 has a lot more game I want.
I'm waiting for the XBox 720 to get my hands on Duke Nukem Forever.

Theyre pretty much the same game wise, with a few exclusives. Hardware wise?....come on....built in memory and custom soundtracks. Need i say more?

(on the low-end, may the 360 costs 299 and the ps3 costs 349, but I doubt it) If the extreme estimation is the case, than Sony will get smashed by Microsoft, only because Sony will, in a sense, smash itself.
panzer dragoon is really good exclusive game for xbox as well...But of course xbox has to have better everything then sony and nintendo...Were talking m$ here. They have to dominate in everything.
Im just saying, Think of all the crappy games on the xbox. There are just so many on there while the ps2 has lots of good games but some arent good! I am talking about XBox. NOT 360! I think that the 360 is gunna be pretty good but i think that the ps3 is gunna have the better graphix cuz the ps3 is gunna have the cell, the really good graphic thingy. Its gunna rule the xbox because i read the popular scienscei thingy about the Hd dvd player that uses blu ray. Stop hating other ppls opions. WHat does other ppls opinions change about yours! Heh PS2 was full if medicore miltiformat bilge and they just kept spewing out titles. With the odd good game. I say probably one of the best systems ever was the Playstation (One) because that was around the time people cared about graphics a little but they werent pissing around spending all their time on graphics and not gameplay.
I personally hate Sony because of what they did to the Dreamcast :( My poor Dreamcast... But admit that both the PS1 and PSP are great. And my headphones.
I found PS2 games appear to just be rushed out. I remember one argument people had against the XBox when it first came out was "PS2 has more games, XBox barely has any". It's just come out ffs. Besides most of the PS2 games with the exception of a few excellent ones were medicore ****.
Having said that alot of XBox games are also medicore ****, but there appears to be more "excellent" exclusive titles for the XBox. Which is pretty impressive givent the XB timeline compared to PS2
I SHOULD respond to that with the actual reason why the cell proceesors are bad and i've said it so much or Oblivion has, i'm to lazy, Inshort te XBOX IS NOT all about FPS, theres a lot of great series and games, Sonys games are all suquels and i DO thing that Online play will decied what console is better, the more ppl that get broadband and relieze they can now play online with other ppl they'll se how bad the PS3 is, THat where i think sony has really dropped the ball. aso the PS3 graphicswill not be better, I dont know why some ppl think they might since their is no chance of that happing.Zitat:

having cell isnt going to improve graphics. Its increased processing power of the 360 in tflop is quite a bit. Meaning if optimzing you could have more on screen, but graphics wise your not going to notice. The only problem is that not many developers have mastered multicore programming yet. If its not perfect optimized the code will run terrible. Now the 360 has xna which the head of ID said was the best thing he had ever seen in a console. And that the 360 was the most developer friendly console and the ps3 was I qoute "a pain in my arse". The head of ea said something silimiar but he also said the ps3 and xbox 360 versions of fightnight look and play the exact same because the consoles are nearly identical in power.
Now onto the games, xbox had very little jap developers (the rpg men), this time around wow just wow it has them all. Including sonys square-enix. Ouch....and the next final fantasy game after 12 probably will come to both the ps3 and 360. And konami are developing a unique game for the 360 instead of porting metal gear solid 4. Now as for no good games on the original xbox. Once i got my xbox I didnt play on my ps2. Ther was no point. Final fantasy 10 had been and gone and nothing remotely good was coming out. Final fantasy x-2 was far to girly for me. So I played on my xbox and gamecube.
The point im making is sony fanboys could say that the xbox didnt have any good games, now they cant say that about the 360. Because it will have lots of unique and good games including rpgs and will have more than sonys ps3 thanks to it coming out a full year earlier. The irony.

Edit: Wait the standard doesn't come with a HDD please let this not be so as that would mean no Footbal Manager '06 without forking out the extra. I though the standard was confirmed to come with a hard drive, please show your sources.

Oh damn, its not quite as good as I first thought, wired controller and ano hard drive? What's up with that guess the £280 pack is a must and one question I want answering is will you need a credit card to access Live this time around as that really pissed me off before and I thought you'd get a free live subscription with the £280 model aswell.

Edit: Do you think the current Xbox controllers will work as the wired controller or that it will have a new connection. Its just little things like this really add up to the first seemingly bargain £210 to something past £300 and that's still without a game.
