well i dont think ther not going to include the usb cable you need to charge it. And since it charges thru usb im thinking that you can play while its charging.Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
i heard you can't do that with the stock stuff and the cable cost US$20Zitat:

i knew something was wrong when isay some vid and they were menting the MS, sine no one even takes about the xboxs one unless its AR.
Its retarded since you HAVE to get the $400 one if you play xbl because of the DLC for games
No $400= No Halo 2 MM(XBL)
Stop kidding yourself, us europeans will be ripped of as usual, do you honestly think that we are going to pay less than ppl in the US! not a chance of it. At best they will be priced the same when u compare through currencies but more than likely ripoff uk stores will add on a few £ as usual
edit:
£210 = $379
£280 = $560
So ppl in the US are paying £165 for standard and £221 for the fully fully loaded system! You should try and learn about currencies, they are not all the same!
So yep Uk is a ripoff as usual
$399 = £220.48Zitat:
Zitat von moontan
+VAT = £259.06
Yes, we're still paying more, but nowhere near what anyone was expecting.
lol well no not exactly. The last xbox standard was £300. And if you add VAT to the high end one i think you will find out where only being ripped off by £20.Zitat:
Zitat von moontan
i haven't been in the Uk and in europe in like 10 years so what VAT.Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
value added tax everything in the UK gets taxed my 17.5%. So something worth £100 sells for £117.50Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
Why are u comparing it to the last xbox? ppl are paying a lot less as usual in the US. Read above,
"So ppl in the US are paying £165 for standard and £221 for the fully fully loaded system"
Those Uk prices will include VAT already, they are not gonna announce a UK price without it included.
We are paying less but i still think we're paying to much,Zitat:
Zitat von moontan
Well considering the psp costs $250 its not too bad
add vat to £221. You will get something around £260. We get charged an extra £20. Which is great because we usually get charged an extra 100.Zitat:
Zitat von moontan
the Uk prices will include VAT already! and the US will still work out at £165 and £221. They never announce prices for stuff like this without including tax. They are gonna be priced at $300 and $400 in the US, they are not gonna be $337 and $465 or something. $300 = £165 and if they added vat to £210 then it would be even worse than the rip off it is now. Its not that hard to understand.
For example : psp is gonna be £170(?) , thats $307, but value packs only cost about $270 max in the US. Im in Ireland, and we are gonna be ripped off too with the euro.
lol are you listning to me at all? The price over here including VAT is £280. The price of the american console + VAT = £260 when directly converted from dollars to pounds with VAT added. So where getting charged an extra £20 out of thin air. We usually get charged an extra £100 or more out of thin air. Are you getting me here? Im not saying VAT isnt included im saying that its a really good price cuz where not getting screwed that much. Il pay an extra £20 than the americans.Zitat:
Zitat von moontan
But ur not payin £20 more, your paying 210 - 165 = £45 more for the standard, and £59 more for the full system!
Uk price will be £210 including vat, Us price will be $300 including their vat. $300 = £165 = UK is a ripoff for anything electronic
The US prices dont include US taxes.
In Michigan with our taxes(.07 for each $) its an extra $28(400) 21(300)
I bet they will be $300 and $400 , u dont come up with perfect numbers like that and then add Tax on top of that. Some strange states might have their own tax's but most will have them at those prices.
techincally your not paying 59 more because some of that is VAT which MS cannot avoid. And the only added difference in price then becomes the £20 that isnt vat and isnt tax its just extra.Zitat:
Zitat von moontan
Of course wean't forget we haveto spend 60 on the gams,
400(xbox)+20(plug n play), 60(PGR3)+33(taxes)=515
In the end most of use are getting fully-loaded pack so no matter if were getting ripped of were buying it.
yeah well i just found out the wirless controller doesnt come with a rechargable battery. So you need to pay £25 for a lead to charge it and a battery. So your talking £53 per controller. Just for that im considering not buying the console at all on principle.
infact £58 per controller.
I have to get it,f i don't my friend is going to kill me. lolZitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
Is this the battery
http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/...954497-000.jpg
thats a camera i think. I do want 1 but comeon including a console with a ****ing controller that needs AA battaries. Are they ****ing insane. In all the research theyve done, im sure they shud have found out ppl ****ing hate batteries.
Its AA batterys damn,i have 2 sets of rechargable ones at least.Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
ALSO this is my 999 post.
My God, that is quite possibly the biggest rip off tactics I've ever seen. So you get a console with a controller that is useless even tho you've payed an extra £70. Wow, from the initial exctitement of a £210 360 to over £400 to have it with a game and a couple of pads. £53 for a controller what the heck do Microsof think they're tryng to pull here? Heck 4 controllers cost more than the console itself! Add headsets to them and you can see the 360 is a major rip off. Sorry but any console with £53 controllers will not be getting my money.Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
well it looks like Sony could have good price now.Zitat:
Zitat von brain_stew
I also found a picture of the plug n play adapter. It right above the controller.
AND THIS IS MY 1000st POST(well my other pots got deleted so iits like 1200)

• Wireless Controller ($49.99, 44.99 Euros, 32.99 GBP)
• Play and Charge Kit ($19.99, 19.99 Euros, 14.99 GBP)
• Rechargeable Battery Pack ($11.99, 14.99 Euros, 9.99 GBP)
thats what you need to go wireless. Now you dont need the play and charge kit for each controller. You only really need one. But if all your controllers die you cant charge them all at once. So its £42 per controller.
Edit: you also get one controller with the console. So its £25 extra to go wireless if you only have the one controller.
Do you know if thewireless is extra or areplacement to the wired one.Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
Also is this site laggng or you. Like i see the green online boyyon everywhere.
Does anybody know how much a Wireless Controller, and HDD will be by them selves... Becuase that's all I need really from the "deluxe" package... I don't really need a Media remote, and all that garbage... I just need tha HDD, and Wireless controller (I could actually do without the Wireless controller for a while)...Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
**EDIT**
Nevermind on the Wireless Controller... I just saw OBX's post about that...
Personally I thought £33 for a wireless controller that includes a battery and charge kit is bad enough but £58! I think someone at Microsoft has been smoking something if they expect me to pay that. Sorry, I thought I'd never say this but I am not going to buy a console because of the price of its controller. What on earth were they thinking?Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
wireless isZitat:

hard disk is
• Hard Drive (20 GB) ($99.99, 99.99 Euros, 69.99 GBP)
in other words you need to buy the top one.
But the top one doesnt come with a recharable battery or charger kit. So you need to buy them. And it doesnt come with standard AV cables so you need to buy them. This is going to be so ****ing expensive.
The hard drive is $100 and is pretty much essential meaning that the $300 price is only really there for marketing purposes as its pretty much useless.Zitat:
Zitat von DaddyFatSacz
Edit: So if I buy the top ppackage I have to shell out again just to plug it upto a standard telly. Sorry Microsoft but you've just lost a very willing customer here. There is no way this will sell out in Europe.
I think if they DO sell it seprately it'll cost a lot since this is M$. O well, in like feb, when mod chips come out and ppl canburn the gameit'll be worth the 500 dollars now, since i'll have a collaction video games and emulators, LOLZitat:
Zitat von DaddyFatSacz
It's completely stupid that they expect us to pay £58 for another fully functional wireless pad.Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
This is Microsoft were talking about.Zitat:
Zitat von Giga Phil
it is, if the complete package came with a wireless pad with a battery and a charge kit. Then it would be sort of ok. But then you would need to buy another controller. But now you need to buy a £25 kit to make your existing controller rechargeable. Then £42 for another controller with a battery wtf are they on?
Plus another £25 just to get the one that comes with it to work and it seems that if you haven't got a HD TV you may have to buy new AV cables. This is ludicrous.Zitat:
Zitat von Giga Phil
Wow... this post really makes me question Microsoft... Why the hell would they go this high??? they basically have given a reason for sony to Justify a $400+ Price tag...Zitat:
Zitat von OblivionX
I'm also worried about the Future of the 360, because they are going to release a HD-DVD version... I'm not sure how willing i'm going to be to buy a whole other comsole, just to play HD-DVD games...
This definitly makes me have to think even harder about getting an 360... I'n reality, the PS3 may end up being the cheap system in the long run...
But the Sony stuff will have abase price of about 400. I really don't think we've heard what the ps3 package will have to judge if its a better deal especaily if its 400 without a HDD.
Also Giga and Brain have you put me on your ignore list?
