Um the xbox had the better hardware this gen and it lost so saying its about hardware is crap.

There is no need to knock backwards compatibility. I have used and to this day still use the BC functions on the GBA and PS2 as well as a NES emu on my GBA and homebrew and as soon as they speed up a bit emus on PSP. I play all the newer games that interest me as well as the old ones I enjoyed or never got to play before.
And in fact I don’t own an X-Box and never have but there are games for it I want to play, there just wasn’t ever enough justification to by the system before the price drop, but why bother with next gen coming? I could spend that money on a next gen system I really care about so I donno about it now.
I’m just not drooling over the 360 at $300 or $400 it’s just not THAT impressive yet but if I could get it and a $150 worth of original x-box included in one box for the $400 price tag I would defiantly buy it. Again there is no need to knock backwards compatibility.
P.S. I don’t know if I’ll get called a fanboy so I’ll just say I have owned and enjoyed the NES, Genesis, GameBoy, Saturn, N64, PSX, DreamCast, PS2, GBA, GBA SP, GameCube, PSP… and been playing pc games since windows 3.11, win95, win98, ME and XP currently… and I am one the those saddened that the 98 compatibility and DOS functions are a joke for playing older games in XP…

I think there will be some good gameplay, I need to stop reading this thread, I'm getting overexcited...which can sometimes be a really bad thing...
Nobody will give 2 ****s about halo 2, the only people that will still play halo 2 will be the loosers that are holding out for the ps3 and or have a lame excuse as to why they aren't buying one right away, while all the people with 360's sit here and blow eachother away in PDZ!
btw, you can buy a used (read: has some scratches but works just fine) xbox for like $80 at most places...
