I'll still be playing Halo 2 on my 360. I still haven't been able to glitch out of every campaign level yet. But then again I'm a real softie for nostalgia. I still have all my N64 games and play them every once in a while to bring back those good ol' memories.
Yeah but n64 is different, it had somthing innovative, like perfect dark, all Halo 2 was, was pretty, and the gameplay was mediocre...its throughly overhyped!
PDZ should do for 360 what Halo did for xbox, hopefully...

all i know is that it is hard to say wich will be the better system as far as hardwasre bc neither is out to compare.
ps3 will be out later than 360, so that means sony still has time to revamp a little.
what will be the judging point is what they do with the tech.
sony beat out ms with the last console bc it had a better fan base, and better games.
my prob with xbox is that it didnt have as many devs as what it said it would.
this time it will be different but sony stil might have the upper havd with devs.
it sgoing to come down to games and gameplay.
if xbox does the same thing as last time then yea it will loose out.
most of the games it had was to similar to each other.
theh only thing that really did put xbox on teh charts was halo.
it wasnt bad but they wanted to get a bigger fanbase with part 2 and rushed it and wasnt as good.
if they rush part 3 then they lost one of the bigger titles. the only people that will say that is is the best game is the fanboys.
there are man fps games out there that rivals it, just the fanboys hipe it.
me i will wait till both are released to make my decision.
for now specs and assumptions arnt going to get you anywhere any faster.
I'm an xbox fan as you can tell, but name one fps thats even close to halo on the xbox.

I loved the timesplitters series, i just recently got to play future perfect for gamecube because my brother rented it and it's really good. Ha and i too love how he meets himself a few times in the game. They should bring series' like timesplitters to next gen, maybe it'll be more appealing.
I loved Timesplitters 1. But Halo will always have a special place in my heart. He's rooming with Nintendo.

halo may be the best fps on the xbox, but i would hardly think of it as the best fps.
if halo is the best thing that xbox has going for it, as what is being generalized, then yes theare going to have a hard time comepeteing.
i can say that with the 360, yes the guy who originally made the ff series is making a game for it but what?? is that what going to take to kill the ps line?? 2 game titles?
until they both come out we have got barely anything to stand on except specs.
until then give me a really big, and i mean a huge reason as to why, just why or how you will actually get me to be persuaded to go either way.

get a an rpg that remenesis on the old days of rpgs maybe. something that will have me glued to the screen for 72 hours or more then you got my vote.
and if anyone says ff7 then i will put a boot in your butt, you have to go pre ff7.
ff7 is even hyped up by people who dont even know the days before hand when rpgs were rpgs.

i didnt like the cartoony charactors in timesplitters. its a personal dislike i had for the game. great story though, i like games that are original.
i thought it was funny how the Pro gamers League plays Halo 1 and not halo 2. that should tell you what people think about it. they say when your able to carry 2 weapons and have at the enemy theres alot of luck involved.
MLG is the best game type EVER.

I prefer the art direction to the bland realism of most games. If I wanted to see a realistice tree I'd look out the window, Perfect Dark follows a similar realistic/cartoony style, so you'll probably have issues with its looks too.Zitat:

You can list what you currently have and what you should have by the time you get a 360.
My current setup is the worst it gets a 14" portable with a curvier screen than a fishbowl and mono sound, oh and my seat is my bed.It doesn't get any worse than that, so don't be scared to show a shoddy setup as it can't possibly be worse than mine. However, I do plan on addressing this and by the time I get a 360 (launch / Christmas) I should have a 17" HDTV widescreen LCD HDTV with a native 720p resolution and it could be stretched to a 19" model if I have the cash. I'm going to try and get a cheap surround system hooked up if I have cash to spare but if not I'll have to live with Nicam stereo (hey, its an improvement over mono).
The reason for such a small screen is because HDTVs are freakily expensive in the UK and because my room is diddy meaning anything bigger wouldn't fit in.
30 in TV, with sournd sound, but my basement is getting finshed right before the 360 launch so it'll be a lot better.
