not possible no way u can get information from a power outlet... well at least with that cable u cant.
WTF!?!?!? LMAO ROFL....THAT IS THE BIGGEST POWER ADAPTER I'VE EVER SEEN!!! I probaly could explain why the 360 needs a big adapter...The reason why its sooo huge is because theres not enough power to power up the hi-tech 360 and theres no room to add its own power thingy in the 360 because the system is made for it to be slim and sexy and doesnt have enough room for a big ugly thing. well that sort of explains some things...^^P
that thing could be a proto type and their just using an extra battery addapter thingy i like saying thingy ^^P
Its not the first time a big ugly power supply had to be used to power a console
yep but i would say this is the biggest power plug ever! looks like we broke a world record!! ^^P
oh well..lol...just gives ps3 fan boys and others who despise the 360 another reason to bash against it...heh
Think about it, this thing is powerful, its gonna need a hefty power supply. Remember the powercords of the old systems back in the 80's - early 90's? They all had that annoying fat power plug that would hog the space for 2 plugs on your outlet. Then when the Playstation/Saturn era they started putting the supply inside the system. And now, with the Gamecube and redesigned PS2, they use the power bricks to make the systems smaller (I'm not sure about the Xbox). So I guess its a small price to pay for a smaller, cooler running machine, and a powercord that only uses one plug space on an outlet. Imagine the thing being inside the 360 itself. Its gonna make it bigger and hotter (the thing is already watercooled).
Its gonna make a mess behind my cabinet though, I already have 3 surge protectors behind there, kinda daisy-chained together, lol. What a fire hazard.
Note that its plugged into THE USB AND POSSIBLY THE BACK (I'm guessing the back as well because USB (1/2.0) neither can offer that much power via usb, it would distroy all the data going though...Zitat:

Read what people say before you reply to it...
Horrible idea, Try getting one of those 12 plug strips with the built in UPC (Somthing to do with having extra circuts to stop lightning/power surge damage)Zitat:

yeah that is a fire hazard and that was the point i was trying to get to lets just hope there wont be any real big mess behind my tv since theres a big mess of wires already. and i could beat your power surge i had about 5 i win!!! ^^PZitat:

dont you mean pray?
That thing has "fire hazard" written all over it! ;)

Eww! lol that thing is FAT ! I'm not bashing the Xbox360, but that is HUGE. It does look like a fire starter.
The fire hazard we are talking about is the idiot with 4 power strips daisy chained together...
Did everyone here get the email about the XBox outage that will be happening on oct. 24th?
Heres a copy of the email in case you didnt:
What do you think the new features for xbox.com will be?Zitat:
What's Going On?
* In preparation for the launch of Xbox Live on Xbox 360*, there will be a brief interruption of the Xbox Live service beginning on Monday, October 24. Service will return on Tuesday, October 25. Don't worry; leaderboard information for tournaments will not be affected.
* At the same time, Xbox.com will also undergo a complete overhaul and redesign, and will relaunch with new features, new forums, and exciting new content soon after the Xbox Live service outage.
What's Coming for Xbox Live Users on Xbox 360?
* After this brief interruption of service, Xbox Live will be primed and ready to go with all-new features enabled by Xbox 360, ready to wow you with the launch of the system on November 22 in North America, December 2 in Europe, and December 10 in Japan.
wasn't there a news item with all the features that are being made for 360?

there was also a new items on here too...right?
on where? 360updates?
Yeah i got it, theyre probably redoing the dashboard or something.
They aren't re-doing the dashboard...
Just adding all of the 360 interfacing software, as well as the new gamercard thing, which everybody will be able to acess, but 360s will also be able to get on console...
Although, you are right about space in japanese homes, that wasn't entirely the case for the Xbox. The truth is, there wasn't enough software (or by any means, good software) for the system. When you compare the library the PS2 and the GBA have in Japan, obviously, the japanese consumer will choose those instead of the Xbox. North America has also a similar case with the Nokia N-Gage. Would you rather buy a GBA or an N-Gage? That's why they're not big sellers.Zitat:

On topic, I think the power adapter is a little big. Oh well, just another power brick in the room. :)

I have a few friends in Japan that have an xbox and plan to get a 360...
though a good percentage of people don't like american games...its not all the japanese that don't
just like not everyone in america likes anime and anime styled games...
I work at Wal Mart. Yesterday we got an Xbox 360 for display. After it was hooked up it crashed the stores SMART system. All handheld terminals and computers wouldn't work. Somehow the wifi interfered with the system I guess. Pretty weird, and ....awesome lol.
It's a good thing that the 360 sucks compared to the PS3, so nobody is going to buy one.
LOL roberto! Have you heard anything?? the xbox is over reserved! there is no guarantee that anyone is getting one on the release date.
And if the 360 sux why are you in this forum??
ha, your kidding yeah? PS3 may turn out to be better but fortunatly for MS people will buy the 360.Zitat:

i kinda agree the 360 sux, but im not the one to spam a thread so
that smart system thing is pretty wierd, looks like microsoft still has some bugs to work out
I'd prefer if you'd keep conversation on this forum intelligent. Thank you.Zitat:

If you dont like the 360 . Please stay out of the 360 forums. Thanks: 360 mod team. This is your warning by the way.Zitat:

PPL! the power supply is NOT connected to the 360 through USB, that would be a retarted move on M$'s part.
But still... thats a big power supply...
I think saying any system sucks is kinda stupid...you may say, "i don't like it" but saying it sucks...come on we aren't in elementry school anymore are we kiddies?
saying something sucks obvisously determines how much knowledge you have...thats like saying "THAT GAME SUCKS!" when you havent played it yet and truly it doesnt when you get your hands on one and have fun playing it.Or some people say things like that just because they suck at doing something.
