seriously i wanna get one on launch day!..what time do you think people would start going to bestbuy, target, walmart, etc.?!?!?! i mean what time should i be going to the stores cause best buy told me they might have a special thing that day opening at 8am and they say they only gonna have like 40...and i know a lot of crazy people would do anything to get one..of course i wanna get 2 or 3 one for me and the other to invest..which i know christmas time would be sold out crazy people would pay for anything to get one!! so what time you think i should be getting there?? of course i know you could only buy one unit per person thats why im taking some friends :)..and my mother loves to invest her money and i told her how much people are paying for them on ebay and she loved the idea so shes buying hopefully she gets it..anyways this is my first time i go for launch day cause for ps2 i was a lil young but now i make enough money to buy several :)..any advice??
I would give you some advice but I'm not going to encourage Ebay scalping, sorry. Please just buy one console, and try and make everyone else happy, there's no need to destroy someone elses Christmas because of your greed. Buy one console and enjoy it, anyways last I heard Ebay may be banning 360 sales, so hopefully all the scammers will end up out of pocket, just like they should be.Zitat:

I'm glad that i'm getting this soon after its launch. Jan 10th. My B Day! This'll be awsome! On the go, I'll have PSP! While I'm at my house, I'll have the best in home entertainment. Too bad I'm gonna have to share with my bro.
actually only the games are getting high prices...the consoles aren't that expensive...compared to the times...the Sega, Snes, and other consoles were much more expensive...

The 360 will be $400 (seriously, who wants the core system???), and the PS3 will be $400 atleast, with out the HDD.... And I know, for most people, they'll just see more money for a gaming system... The sega cost like 400 dollars the snes also was very expensive as well

Well, getting a little bit back more on topic. Now with it getting closer I believe we're going to have to wait and see. I have it preordered and can't wait to open it up and check it out. As soon as I get it I'll be sure to take some thorough pictures for all you guys.

Sega had more consumers then Nitendo...i owned both systems...i am not biased to either one.

Back then sega WAS expensive, then to get the CD and 32x addon was more so, plus the games etc. I think now we get a better value since games are much better off then a cartridge. But I will say its still expensive.. but when you think.. a PC thats powerful is cheaper then the 360, thats sad.

You guys know that you can walk into a Best Buy and buy a very beautiful Xbox 360 controller for your PC and will work for the 360. Stealing is wrong and robbing the 360 experience from everyone that wants to play. :icon_razz

With consideration of inflation, $300 for hardware 1 or 2 years ahead of PC tech is very reasonable, a bargain infact. Looking back at previous launches all you ususally got was the pad and console so the core must be the system compared to them, then factor in inflation and $300 is very cheap. Now add that to the fact that console tech is historically a year or two behind PC tech when it launches not a year or two ahead and Microsoft are practically giving the console away selling it at $300.
The 360 is going to sell out but the shortages won't be anywhere near the scale of the PS2 shortages because stocks are going to be constantly replenished.
I have no doubt that it will sell out, if the holiday season can make the ds sell, then anything can can sell, the holidays just do that to people.
i to was iffy about the $400 price tag but for perfect dark i'm willing to pay it, i still stand by my argument that the hard drive is overpriced. but just like the psp i know i'll forget all the money i just spent, the moment i push the 360's on button
