hmmmm....4 inch picture picture on my 20 inch t.v. with an uncomtable couch and along with my XBOX sitting next to a new family member XBOX 360. (its annoying playing on the freaking 4 inch screen so I switched ^^P.)

Most lcd/plasma monitors have vga/dvi/hdmi inputs...

Mine doesnt have an input, and the monitors that have the inputs are way more expensive than a simple 17 inch lcd monitor. Why drop hundreds when you can have the same effect for less than 20 dollars?

AG Nueovo 21inch (high end, has all inputs exceppt for hdmi)
Random LCD From Costco (has everything except hdmi)
lil 15 inch piece of **** i bring to lan parties...(no brand name, bought it refurbed off ebay, has only component video in)

the ag was a gift, im guessing ~1000 (its used for digital editing, its calibrated for CMYK Print work, cant remember the exact code used though)

Why would i drop 1000 on one of those when i can get a nice LG flat screen (19 inch) for 1/4 of that price. One nice homemade vga cable and im gaming in the same quaity, for MUCH less. You dont need to spend tons to get good quality from your consoles.

The neuovo is a high-end monitor with a response time of less then 15ms, your lg piece of **** its probobly around 21,25,maybie even thirty, all of which lead to some heavy-ass ghosting... and i don't even wanna think about the color, contrast, brightness, not to mention the distortion caused by your homemade vga cables...

Once again, that is timed with a "human reaction delay" built into the way they calculate it, lg and sony are the only ones that even try to use that anymore... multiply that by 2 and thats more like what your getting...

And hand built cables will never be as good as the ones pressed out at the factories... You don't have gold shelding...you don't have precise-to-the-nanometer-sodering skills...you have human error though, and its always awesome when the display cord goes to the audio cord and blows the sub... :Punk:

accually these are almost half the price and the same quality and its fun to make them theres a video at systm.org on how to make your own cables.

P.S. This is not my "360" set-up... This is my gaming set-up... I don't need to give this system special treatment... If any system gets special treatment, it'll be the Dreamcast :)...

I also give my dreamcast special treatment i have it with my xbox instead of the ps2(Which is a piece of cow manure).
