HD-TV hooking up PC?
Hey i'm getting this TV very soon :
its the "Samsung 26" LE26R41B LCD TV".
It will take HDMI, DVI and Component. Now i know how to hook up my 360 to it etc. But I want to hook up my PC. sorry but i can't find any where else to ask this.
I have an ATI Radeon X850XT which has outputs a HD signal through either of DVI, S-Video and VGA.
I was wondering would it be best to use a DVI to DVI to go to my TV, or a DVI to HDMI, the HDMI plugging in to my TV.
Now i'm assuming that there will be no difference and the only difference between DVI and HDMI is that HDMI also allows sound to go through it.
Hope any one can help.
DVI to DVI I would think, Digital signal to Digital input, I think if you convert it, it might get some analog signal there and converts again, again I am not 100% sure, but I read up on somethings, I know DVI to DVI wont be converting most likely.
Yeah i was thinking around the same thing, thanks dude, if anyone else wants to comment please do.
DVI is not universal. There are several different kinds of DVI, does the port on your TV match the one on your video card?
Here, some interesting reading.

thanks everyone. i just downloaded the manual for the tv and it don't have a DVI in, and asks you to use a DVI to HDMI cable. So problem solved;).
