so I know there is a chip that mods systems. that is simple. but on halo2...I hear people saying "that dude is modding" and things like that. i thought you can't get online with chips on your system so I am assuming they are doing something else. I looked all over the internet and I can't find a thing about it. when I ask people, they don't really tell me. basically, I want to know what halo 2 modding is. I don't want to know how it is done...just wtf it is.
I don't know anything about it...but it may just people being pist that they are getting beaten...
Modding is when the host of the game uses modded content and use it to their advantage, like when you mod the game so that gravity is decreased the hosts of the game can jump extremely high when you can't. I've played a few of them before on turf, the guys with rockets suddenly dissapear when their in front of you, and then you get shot from above.
Sometimes its obvious when players are cheating. But not all cheaters use modds, some use hubs.
And the thing with the Xbox 360 mod chip is that it will take a while for Microsoft to set up some detection device to dectect modded Xbox 360s just like the original Xbox.
And then they'll make those online able mod chips. Speaking of online able mod chips, I used to have it on my Xbox, until finally after a and a half years they find a way to detect it, then I was forced to trade in my online able modded Xbox for a non modded Xbox.
If any of you have a chipped xbox i recommend trying out the crimson phoenix pack, thats a Halo 2 game with modded maps and weapons and vehicles.
Wait...did you use the online able xbox...for cheating...
nope, i don't cheat, i dont even know how to. hell, i didnt even chip my own xbox, went to some store to do that.
however people manage to create modded game variants and put themm into the saved game files and microsoft cant detect modded game save so no worries there
