No thanks. The spring update will kill us Americans living/working overseas as it will then lock in content from the USA region marketplace to IP address ranges located only in America.
So if I'm an American living in say the Middle East, then I will no longer be able to buy anything of much value in the marketplace since it will think I'm somehow trying to "cheat" the system because even though it can plainly see I'm on a U.S. xbox 360 and using as U.S.-based credit card and address I must NOT be "American".
Excellent way to screw over the United States military and civilian forces there, Microsoft.
I'm filing a complaint with both the military PX system to have all Microsoft xbox products pulled from the shelves in stores lcoated OCONUS (outside the US) and with the Better Business bureau claiming this is an act of discrimination against U.S. military and civilian personnel.

It won't completely block you from the US market place, just the content licensed only for the US. Which I assume is going to be mainly the Video marketplace content.

Microsoft have no choice in this, they're only paying for a US license to the content providers and I can't see any of them continuing with MS if they didn't stop it.

Well, I still don't find it fair. If we pay the same price of american 360's and only US regions get extra features and the others don't, I say that any other country should have a decrease in prices of stuff from the marketplace, because we are being treated unfairly even if we are legal and loyal buyers to microsoft.

We pay more for our 360's and get screwed just like in every other industry. Although I doubt its Microsoft's fault we don't have the video marketplace over here yet.

Microsoft is the one that makes the marketplace. How could it not be microsoft's fault??

Americans are getting reward programs, video marketplaces, game enhancements, extra profile enhancements and a whole s**tload of other stuff. And everyone else is just watching microsoft laughing at them.

Ya its MS marketplace but they dont own the content on it. They have to get premission(and probably pay more money) to get the content sold in other countries its not as simple as you think it would be.

Americans get the most benefits because MS is an American based company. Ya it might not be fair but lifes not fair never was and never will be.

Want to bet? Microsoft's biggest customer on the planet is the United States Department of Defense (DOD).
Within the DOD the biggest customer is...the United States Army.
I've already put the word out to my friends in Virginia to have a little "chat" with Microsoft about it.
We've put them over a barrel before with licensing and certain things we wanted done to Exchange 2003 (and Exchange 2007 which we are live beta-testing for them).
Once you start threatening them with millions and millions in lost desktop licensing fees because you've suddenly decided to "switch" to OS X or an NSA-secured Linux platform their little ears perk up and they start changing.
You'll know when they change their policy when you suddenly see "AE" and "APO/FPO" being supported in their marketplace.

I think they are on the marketplace

Edit, after looking at the major nelson blog comments...."the videos are located under the gaming community area as newly released content"
