There's more than enough games out currently and more than enough games coming out this holiday season to get your money out of the system. If $50 is what's holding you back, then save $1 a day until you can give yourself a $100 coupon off the market price.

It's not really about the moeny, would be nice if it was $100 less for when I buy it. Im still waiting until the stores are stocking the Elite, also one with a new heatsink and maybe 65nm chip. I'll be too busy near christmas to be playing 2 different consoles.

Not in Canada, it's $100 off core and premium, $50 off the elite....and futureshop will still have the same free games.....IE. Forza or Cod3 or the one with hitman, tombraider, arcade classics and I think PGR ?

Anyways, it's a good time to get a 360, and it will make a difference as I know 5 people in real life who have decided to get one now because of this....

They should be, but it might take a couple days for everyone to get up to date....big places like futureshop/bestbuy should be up to date....

It is $100 off the Premium, like I thought.

I wish it was $100 off all but I'm still getting an Elite. The price drop is welcome but like I said before, would have had more of an impact in a few months with the release of Halo 3 with a $100 off all of them.

Not a bad dealio...

Also, anyone without an HDTV (and many with) will see no difference with the Elite, other then their controllers won't be (noticeably) dirty :P

I've yet to come across an HDTV that doesn't have component inputs...and my futureshop had an open box 120gb hdd for $99....so essentially you could buy a core and an open box hdd for $399....basically have an elite.

I heard that MS is quietly putting HDMI into all of the SKU's, to cut inventory costs. Don't know when this is going to take affect but I like the idea. Why don't they just cut the core out entirely.

The whole point of the Elite was for people with 1080p tvs because alot of 1080p tvs/monitors don't support 1080p via component I know mine doesn't. VGA ftw tho

I'll probably get a walmart flyer or something that has an Elite for 2 cents cheaper, do a price match at futureshop, and get $50 off the elite for a $449.99 price tag. Then a 2 year warranty so I won't have to wait if it breaks, and I'll get a brand new system with a 65nm if it breaks too.

I don't understqand why i'ts not $100 off every system. Before the Elite was only $50 more, so it was a no-brainer, but I'm sure a lot of people will get the Premium instead of the Elite now.

Plus I've got a $50 gift card so it will be like paying $399.99.

That's smart, i'm gonna try that with the premium, then I'll have enough money to buy GOW, and still some left over to get NHL 08 when it comes out.

I'm glad to see such a good price drop in Canada. This will get a lot of my friends to 'Jump In' who haven't already.
