Can't see this being true, XBL is far too closed for a virus to be distributed through it.

How the hell could someone send you a virus? When you accept a request, does it automatically send files?

On PSN, you have to send the file through a message or invite, then the other person has to accept the file.

It's basically impossible...unless some crazy character combination in a msg can manage to crash the 360.

impossible because a friend request is just a friend request. You can't send your own files. The only file you can send is a picture taken from your vision camera. Also all msgs go through MS servers.

Also, even if you are an idiot and accept an email or click on a link (I know a recent one was "Hey look at your naked pictures a youremailaddress.com" and it was of course a command file with a virus in it.....but you could still download the file, as long as you didn't run it you were fine.

That's how virii work, I used to have a collection of over 10,000 virii on my PC, in their .exe/.com form....totally harmless unless you actually run them.

My point, there is no way to run code on the 360....

Meh . . . I won't say it's absolutely impossible. But Microsoft couldn't have overlooked this. I don't really believe it.

Not to mention the fact that you only have stories about it happening to people you know. It makes no sense at all.
