Why? I don't even know who half of the people on my friends list are, why would I give a sh*t who is on other people's friends list?

Sure, I could use gamebattles, but Clan Support would be so much more conveinient. For example, I'm trying to join a clan that has upwards of 25 people. Now, I'm going to have to add 25 people to my friends list, with no organization, so I'll just have a huge list of people, some in my clan, some not. and, of course, if I left that clan, there would be the need to remove all those people from my friends list.

Also add in the fact that Gamebattles doesn't allow you to know when people are playing on their Xbox (you know, the whole point of your friends list). There is just no reason it shouldn't be there. An extra tab that says "Clan" would be cake... You know, for anybody not named Microsoft, those lazy motherfu*kers...

In all seriousness; full clan support across multiple games would be cool. All they need to do is add another Friends List and lable it Clan.

Yeah, the idea that gamebattles.com is an acceptable substitute is downright laughable. GB.com is supposed to be an accessory for Clan Support, not a substitute.

Use Gamebattles to organize matches, and a Clan list to organize your clan, see when they're online, and maybe even have support for clan tags across all games (That last one's a stretch, but it'd be nice).

The reason there is no clan support is obviously the same reason why there is still a 100 friend limit.

It is built into the system.

So unless MS find a way around it we'll be waiting for the Xbox 3 before we see either of them.

Then make the friends list have a 70 person limit when Clan support is turned on, and make the clan list have a 30 person limit. Bam, problem fixed.

But sersiously, how much of a joke is it that they're trying to pass off the idea that the Xbox 360 can't "handle" a friends list larger than 100. How can it not handle it? There's no way that makes sense. What, with the 360's processing power, it can only handle list's shorter than 100? Give me a break with that garbage. What is it a network thing? Where the hell is my $80 ($20 every three months) going? To research for getting J Allard Hair plugs?

Yeah, nobody is mentioning the fact that FoF is something of an invasion of privacy... And since it's turned on automatically, 90% of people will have no idea that it's on.

True true, i have been acting like that. It is just that everything is sucking. I have to wait for rockband till the week before christmas which there is almost no chance of getting a copy. The canadian dollar is more expensive but no change in the price compared to americans so basically i am getting ripped off by the prices of things (like games, it is like 70 bucks for CoD4 up here).

Yes, a lot of time. Time that was spent on this BS FoF thing. Something that no body asked for, and yet they felt we needed... Something that we can only get minimal use out of, and most people don't even want.

Microsoft seems to have a hard-on for social networking, but I thought that was the whole point of Gamertags... You make a gamertag, then put it on Myspace or Facebook, bam... It's easy, and take's minimal effort from Microsoft.

Nothing had been previously said of this bullsh*t feature, yet they sprung it on us to minimal fanfare.

To allow people you view the friends of other people is a minuscule update work wise compared to what they'd have to do to add clan support in. Nothing has been announced of clan support either, they spring pretty much all the features on us. I don't think that adding the ability to view peoples friends list is a hardon for social networking, I just think that they realise this is where the money will be. They already have the hardcore userbase generally accounted for, this is trying to appeal to people who actually have friends. Not every feature has to be about you. And I feel this update is far from a joke. Xbox Originals, and DivX support, count me in. I also think the new dashboard features are pretty cool. You fail to recognize the amount of fixes that are also included in these updates.

1. They are big games. They would a lot of space (espiacally fable). So basically if you don't have an elite or a 120gb HDD, you are screwed over.

2. I could go to a second hand video game store and buy the game less than what MS is offering.

I am not saying the update is dipsh*t like DFS is saying, but MS can at least try to go for better things than the stalky FoF.

At least we are not PAYING for the update, eh??
