You can make a poor man's clan support by making a silver account for your clan, have all of your members add it to their friends list, then you will see all of your members without it clogging up your normal friends list.

So when you look up your silver accounts friends, you can see who's online and what they are playing.

Yep, thats the one feature I love most. Shame theres no video Marketplace, I heard there wasn't going to be but I was still a bit hopeful.

Man, they messed up the way shared video is laid out. It's not just in a bunch of folders anymore; it looks like it has to download the entire shared directory listing before it shows anything! LAME!

hmm, never mind. Looks like that was just the first time. I wonder if it had to register with WMP or something.

No, if you would have actually read anything I've typed, you would have seen me say that the only worth while addition in my eyes was Divx. And the point of clan support wasn't just to make the freakin' clan... It was to have a way where on your Xbox, you could maintain your clan, have a system where with one invite, you automatically have a sub-blade under your friends list that has an entire Clan roster, and you could access this across all games (and maybe have a way to have a tag that appears in all your games, but even I see that to be a luxury, and I could see that being a problem). I don't think a simple forum could acheive this. Once again, something I didn't think needed spelling out, but there it is.

I do have to say, it's lacking in features, but it does seem quite a bit faster... Can't be mad about that.

They are... My music shows up just fine, but not the video's... And "Video's" is check marked in WMP.

I'm almost certain it's the videos. Probably not formated correctly.

Wonder what the mbps is on those overly compressed "HD" videos? Cool but not for the videophile.

They're about 7Mbps 720p. HD-DVD's(Batman Returns)/Blu-Ray's(300) are about 11Mbps 1080p.

From any I have seen they are a long way from overly compressed.


EDIT: Technically the downloads have a higher bit rate per pixel compared to the HD disks by 0.34Mbps

EDIT: Technically the downloads have a higher bit rate per pixel compared to the HD disks by 0.34Mbps
300 BD is 18.71mbps

7mbps is just above the average DVD bitrate. Definately not glorious HD and imo, overly compressed when compared to the optical discs.

Just for reference, Norbit on blu ray is 32.96mbps, the difference is very clear.

I can gaurantee you that the HD downloads from the marketplace aren't even close to the average BD or HD DVD video bitrate.
