Silver subscribers now have to wait a full to get any content that is uploaded to the marketplace.

Same here. It froze on me twice while I was exploring the FoF junk.

I think something is up with everything since all of your avatars with gamercards have gone kaput.

Jesus christ, DFS, if you want a clan so bad just make a fricken silver account.

Use that and the friends of friends feature and there you go, you got your makeshift clan feature.

On a side note, its so nice to be able to play almost any video now via stream

And I never said creating a clan was an impossibilty, but it would be a nice convenience. I mean, isn't that the point of the Xbox originals? I mean, we're buy old games for more than we could get them elsewhere. The convenience is the ability to have them on your Harddrive.

Both of those things were possible before, and are only for convenience... What makes one more justified than the other?

I do agree with DFS on this one.
For this to work the games will have to be cheaper.
I picked up Crimson Skies at EB games for 2.99 CDN.
Doesn't get much cheaper than that.

That is one advange to these.
You can download games that you can't easily pick up in stores.
It seems this sucks for people who actually have a copy or a hard to find game, because people won't wanna buy it off them.

Just for reference, Norbit on blu ray is 32.96mbps, the difference is very clear.

I can gaurantee you that the HD downloads from the marketplace aren't even close to the average BD or HD DVD video bitrate.

This is precisely why I'm getting a PS3 when my dad picks up his HDTV.

This update appeals to so many people. My girlfriend just bought 2400 MS points, so she could download Crimson Skies and Crash and some other stuff. I told her, "let's go to Gamestop, we can find those games for $7" but she said "It's just easier this way"

No point even comparing, DVD is Mpeg2, these are all VC1. Much, much more efficient.

I bet the marketplace downloads are no better than HD brodcasting, which is not a good thing. Granted they will be good enough for the average watcher but as far as quality goes, BD and HD DVD can't be matched by downloads yet. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the audio is probably compressed as well.

How big are the downloads btw, 1GB +/-?
