"Talking with very reliable sources, and seeing evidence ourselves, Xbox Evolved believes that Microsoft, Rareware, MGM Studios (studio that makes the James Bond 007 movies) and Activision (holds the license for James Bond 007 titles right now) have come to an agreement to bring the Rareware developed Goldeneye 007 out to Xbox Live Arcade shortly before the new game developed by Activision is released.

The title will feature updated graphics, and of course an all-new Xbox Live multiplayer. Not only that, but we have found evidence that Rareware is planning on releasing even more of their back catalog onto Xbox Live Arcade, specifically, Perfect Dark and the original Banjo-Kazooie. Expect more on at least Goldeneye 007 later this year."

Rumor added to thread title.

Speculation on the intertubes is that it's going to get a release on the wii virtual console as well as xbox 360.

I'm far more interested in Banjo-Kazooie than Goldeneye. Mainly because Goldeneye has aged very badly. They need to do some reworking to make the game work properly with two analog sticks.

But think of this: Why the hell is Jetpac on the XBLA?? It is a nintendo/rare game too.

oh wait fps would be hard to do on the wii, they would have to bring out the old school duck hunt gun.

How can that video be true? I never seen a 360 anywhere or if it came from the dashboard. That could be an emulator.

What? The duck hunt gun would never ever work for a modern FPS.

FPS on the wii would be accomplished using either the Wii Classic Controller or a Gamecube controller.

There is no problem with Perfect Dark being ported.

The problem lies with Banjo and Golden Eye since both were published by Nintendo.

The only things that make it seem as if it COULD be real are the constant 60FPS and the Saving Content Do Not Turn Off Console message at the end. That never appeared on the N64 version as far as I know.

But they are already making Banjo Threeie for 360. They can't back down now. And it is too late for nintendo to complain about it.

yeah but just because nintendo published the first banjo game doesn't mean they hold the rights to publishing all the sequels right?

I agree it wasn't vastly different from Goldeneye. I just found it more enjoyable.
Once I got PD, My friends and I never went back to Goldeneye.
Shame The sequel blew so much nuts.

But I wouldn't buy either if they were ported over to the 360, it just wouldn't be as fun.

Who cares if Golden Eye is ported. Just port Perfect Dark. It's basically the same thing with better weapons and graphics. Hell it even has some Goldeneye multiplayer maps in it, and it uses the same engine of course.

go play one of the army men games. they've aged horriblly
most rpgs age particularly well. platformers too.

FF8 was terrible. I found FF7 much better, but even when I went back to play it recently, I found that pretty boring as well. Maybe these games really do age badly

RPG's do age well, and that's because graphics aren't overly important in those games...

If you play PD now, you only notice one thing... How badly it looks and plays.

The original Banjo-Kazooie has aged really well. In fact most platformers have aged well.

It seems to me that platformers and RPGs are the only games that can age really well. Everything else is too focused on the graphics.

i can't disagree more.

but then again what can i expect from you. because if you think FF8(which is one of the best rpgs ever made) is terrible i can't wait until you play darkstone or orphen for the ps2 ROFL.
