Indeed, the second he came back and said he needed to make one more announcement I almost crapped my pants

This one announcement made up for all the other not-so-good news that was in this conference. This is a huge blow to Sony and I am glad to see Square Enix expanding from the Playstation brand (The Last Remnant for PC as well was a nice announcement).

I really don't know if it will help. FF13 is a huge deal. I guess they still have versus but I don't really know if that matters. This is so insane.

You were able to watch it on various websites that streamed it live - they have been doing so for the past few years. Most of the sites had difficulties with streaming but IGN's streaming was excellent and is what I used

I was watching it live, loved how the guy was saying which titles from the PS are migrating to the PS3. Too bad he wasn't able to say MGS4 by the end of the keynote. I'm happy as long as that title is secured.

I felt that their conference overall was pretty weak, they will most definitely get scorched by Sony's conference tomorrow. As a PS3 and Wii owner, they had nothing there that would make me want to buy their console. It's just the typical 360 games there and nothing else.

Interesting news, I just got a break from an all day meeting. I'm not too surprised with all of the current JRPG's lined up for the 360 and the past ones.

That's what made me think that it would stay PS3 exclusive. They already had a pretty solid lineup of jrpg's.

Sony will make something up. It is going to be like Goldeneye for XBLA. Nintendo freaked out when that was announced.

Guys this is coming from someone that doesn't own any of the current gen consoles yet.

I'm totally speechless. Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox360, wow. *claps hands for Microsoft* I mean seriously, this was the biggest third party exclusive PS3 had. I was planning of buying a PS3 after E3 but this changes things. It was one of Sony's biggest guns, I don't know how Sony could have lost it like that. It's embarrassing, seriously.

I hope Sony's got something to show at E3, because a $300 console sounds way better then a $500 console with an almost similar game library. Sure, I'll miss some games there and there, but I could sure use the $200 dollars to make me forget those first party Sony games.

I don't really see this making much of an impact. Sure it's huge news, but sales will still all pretty much come from Japan, where the 360 has no chance. If you look at the sales of FFXII, the majority (about two million), came from there.

Versus still being exclusive is a big deal as well. Aren't the two games meant to go together?

Just finished watching the conference, man that was a harsh move from SE. But i have to agree with Adiuvo, he even says that it will only be available for the 360 in North America and Europe, didn't mention Japan as they would just buy the PS3 version.
