Looky here kids, it's the Fall dashboard update in the hands of some uber l33t dude who "magically" has the new dashboard installed on his Xbox 360. Even better, he (or she) demos the new hard drive game installation process using GTAIV.

If I click on the source it says "Sorry there was a problem loading this video".
But if I watch Moose's embedded YouTube video it works.
The link for that, in case you can't see it in Moose's post, is:

the new menus are so damn ugly. and just clumsy. atleast they could have centered the one that is choosen in THE MIDDLE instead of to the left! its all just a waste of space.

but nice that you can install the games now.

It must be nice to for the 20 gb HDD out there to install a max of 2 games...

Also any word of this is going to be faster than ps3 loading times?

sorry, im a little out of place in this section but is it just me or do those menus look pretty fake? like the different menus look really fake and ugly. the game section as well as the game library has a bunch of random icons that other than maybe game history seem irrelevant and pasted on there. Some are icons with no background, others are just icons with a black background etc...

anyway, with that aside, what implementations does this kind of update have that prevents pirating? i mean just letting someone borrow a disc to get the game on their hard drive, or uploading the game from their hard drive to the internet?

edit, i just saw the "insert disc" thing, but im sure people can make a way around it right?

Why would you need more than two games installed? Install the game(s) you play the most out of and/or are currently playing. Once you're done, install the next game you are playing.

I really see no point in complaining about a new feature that wasn't previously there. You now have the option to either use it, or not use it and play the game the old fashioned way.

It copies the entire game to the HDD so I would assume it would be faster.

I personally can't wait for this feature since I hate seeing the Pop-In effect while playing GTA IV, which I hardly notice with the PS3 version

@Vanden

Lol why ask if the loading times will be faster than the ps3, when without installing the game almost every single game on 360 has faster loading times also and I am not saying this to start a flame war, also Vanden this feature would be pretty nifty when you have games that have big loading times e.g. Oblivion I honestly don't see any point on using this feature on games with small loading times.

This is infact my fav feature to this update... I have little sisters who mess up my game disk all the time...If this helps from me getting up 5 times to clean the disk then I all for it..

I can really this being a selling point for a elite....

I personally think that the new dashboard looks like some major gay. I really wish they'll have an option to keep the old look.

You still need the disc to play them from the HDD.

This isn't the rent-n-rip service that most of us have done with the original Xbox and PS2 with installed HD's.

Sadly. Got a 320GB HDD in my PS2. Shame as I don't play it anymore...
