If you have the patience and are willing to wait for the xbox you can be at walmart on monday MIDNIGHT. I would suggest getting there around 6 or 8 just to be safe. you could browse the store and do stuff like that. Be sure to figure out where they are selling them. You have to have the money read, because they will not wait if you do not have it right there.

anyways was just telling yall another place to get them. Good luck. :icon_wink

By 6pm there will already be a huge line, and surprisingly wal mart isnt gettting any more systems than other stores. Ours here is getting less than 20 total of the core and premium systems combined

My brother is going there the day of (college vacation), and he will just walk right in and pick one up. No one in our town is very game oriented

I'll still have school that day, but he might have it when I come home :P (too bad he wishes to take it back to his dorm when the vacation is over...)

Just found out that my local zellers is getting 12 of each so I have a great chance of getting one on launch day. I'am also taking the morning off to get mine and I should have no problems, like your walmart there wont be many people in line I bet.

I work at wallmart uk, ASDA. It is a huge store yet they are only getting 8 360's in and 5 of them have been reserved for staff. I am one of them.

That leaves 3 lucky customers

This thread is outdated now, but I couldn't resist updating.
I got to work at 10 pm last night (I work overnights) and I walked through layaway on my way to my department. Who's first in line? A buddy of mine who works there too. He'd been there since... the stories differ. Someone said he got off work in the morning and got in line, but someone else said he'd been in line since 6pm, and got his girlfriend to wait in line while he worked. I didn't get to ask him 'cuz he was asleep when I got there. Then at 12, he wouldn't even bring it to the breakroom and let us play it. Said he needed to sleep.
Now that guy deserves a 360. And his g/f deserves... I'm not gonna' go there, but he'd better be REAL nice to her.

After Zero Hour I drove by the Target and Walmart by my house to see if anyone was camping out and I was surprised by the number of people camping, especially the ages.

saw a few cute girls in line too..

Also when I drove by my buddy hung outside the sunroof with his premium 360 and mocked the crowd. boy were they heated.

For a store that bases all of their commercials on their electronics department, Wal-Mart sure does have some illiterate electronics department people. My girlfriend asked them if they had the Path of Neo, and they told her it wasnt coming out for another month. It was in the case behind her. My sister asked when the PSP camera was coming out. They said there wasnt one coming out. She said "well my brother said there was one" and he said "well your brother is an idiot." theres a digital camera folder in the freaking crossbar.

I went to Walmart at 6 and they were already sold out for 12 because they didnt follow rules (as usual) so I got a premium from Target...only waited 2 hrs

Very true. The guy in our store who handles movies and games knows next to nothing about them. We're lucky in the evening, though: 2 out of 3 of those guys mostly know what they're talking about. The overnight chick was a complete miss, though. She knows NOTHING about electronics. She got the position because the manager at the time had a grudge against me. Now I fill in on her nights off 'cuz the new manager has more sense.

i hate to tell you but i got at my local rinky dink town wal-mart at 4:00 p.m. and i was 15th in line(luckly they had 26 prem. in and 20 core i called there like 8 times that day.
i got a premuim one w/ COD 2 Q4 and PDZ
i here rumors on the web that people r complaining about their xbox 360's freezing, crashing, xbox live issues, etc. but i am having no problems w/ mine and there usally r problems w/ systems when they first come out (like PSP) but so far my xbox 360 is perfect. whoever didnt get one sucks hahahaha

See I went to Best Buy at 10 in the morning Monday, and saw a line, and went ahead and got in. I was number 36 when I got there, and was number 33 when it was time for them to start handing out boxes. The bad part was the store had 31 boxes, the good part was they offered people the ability to buy a gift card to wait out for their next shipment to get a premium unit, and two people took that, so I got the last box they had. It may be a core unit, but oh well, cause I'll tell you, Call Of Duty 2, and Perfect Dark 0 are so much more better now than they would have been later. The only bad part of the whole thing was that they ran out of hard drives, just like every store near here, and I was forced to buy a 64mb Memory Card. meh, still. The Walmart near me had 6 boxes. 4 Premium, 2 Core. They didn't hand them out to anyone in a certain order. They handed them out Like a raffle. You got there, got a number on a special piece of paper, and they put a piece of paper with your number in a box, pulled out 6 numbers, and those 6 got it. Ironically, the last person their, who arrived around 11:50 supposedly, got one. My friend told me how he got screwed over there, cause he got there early.

I thought my city wasn't that full of gamers either. I didn't have school that day (just my district) so I thought I would get one easily. I got there and there was people waiting in line. I was pissed. I didn't wait since that line there was for people waiting for someone to cancel. pathetic.
