Hey all, we knew it would happen.

Prices in the 1,700$ + with 39 bids! WHEW... Man I wish i couldve scraped together 800$ then sell for double that, nice investment if you had the money, you get yours paid for and another one with that kinda loot.

Anyways, just wanted to say Merry Xmas, The "PS2" console craze was never this high up.... Wonder how much it will rise on xmas itself.

Warning: I recicved the following this morning from the Ebay Fraud Protection team this morning:

* Stolen Ebay Account Warning *

Do not send Western Union or Wire Transfers to China!

In recent weeks we have seen literally 1000s of stolen Ebay accounts
being used by scammers to commit fraud on Ebay.

Typically the auctions have been located in China, but not always.
The payment is usually to China.

The most common accounts stolen have been German, but we have also found English, American,
Finnish, Spanish & Italian accounts used in the same way.

Some members know the patterns and report them to Ebay,
but the reaction from EBay is generally too slow,
so we try to warn buyers, before they send money.

Scammers use 1-day auctions to keep ahead
of EBay, but that also makes their auctions more obvious.

The content and images of the auctions are also stock copies from their
previous scams auctions, which also helps us spot them.

Beware of fake Ebay/PayPal websites and programs sent via email. Never click links in emails!

it is crazy isnt it, although this post shouldve been in the thread already made for the ebay 360 smart investment topic but I wish I preodered 2 then sold one on ebay and have mine payed for and some extra coin for games and what not.

Hell.. I mean some people are just rich and will pay alot to get a system. I mean if I had 800$ to have pre ordered, I would have sold it too. Just to double my money back and still get a 360. LOL. (When will I learn to save up for that... think Ill do it for Nintendo Rev)

$1700 for something that within the next few months will be all over the place with all kinds of deals for it. You deserve to lose that money lol, i knew they'd be on ebay within hours, and i bet you for every one 360 on sale, theres 10 scammers selling boxes and other crap like that.

In details, I will say its a dummo demo display of the advanced unit with its accessories etc.

(All fake dummy items)

Kinda like selling a dummy phone and saying its a dummy phone and people still buy it thinking its real.

DO same on 360, put its a dummy unit display unit. Watch to see if someone bigs 1000$ for it, then when they complain, they cant touch you as you gave what you advertised. Right now.. its stupid enough to work with everyone buying like mad.

Very right. I dont agree with it at all, but now is the perfect time. People are so caught up in trying to obtain their 360 that they'll take whatever they can get.

I did my homework last night while people waited in line, and fought and beat old ladies just to get an Xbox360. By homework, if you look online there are Store Shipping manifests all over the internet, Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart.
But I found that FYE Music was only getting 3 (Ft. Myers, FL), so i went there at 10 am when they opened and the 3rd system they got was not a pre-order. So without pre-order or a fight I snagged one.....

I am not playing it.
not even gonna open it.
Ebay.. here i come..

I was actually pretty shocked. I was more shocked that I had to wait to leave the mall, Store said i had to wait for security to escort me out to my car. And whats even wierder is that i felt like it was actually needed. People were vicious this morning, my goal was to get a couple of them, them one i got is only a core unit, but even those are going for 810$ last i checked. If any of you are old enough to remember the Cabbage Patch Craziness.. this is similar, 'cept its Nerds and the Dad's vs The Other Nerds.

It's too bad your ebay feedback thing is only 8. A lot of people won't bid high at all unless you've got 100+. Still, you won't be losing any money, and toward the end someone may get desperate enough to buy it. You really didn't need a 6 day auction either. People wait 'til the last minute, and in six days the craze could've died down some.
Wow, rereading that, I've got a negative outlook, don't I. Um... I'm sure you'll make oodles of money. Good on you.
