Default Start Packing and Go Camping?

With the frenzy and shortage of Xbox 360’s in the USA, can we expect the same to happen with the European market? I would imagine so, but with the less amount of consoles shipping to the shores of Europe what (if you believe in it) would be a sufficient time to camp and ensure you will get your 360? USA gamers have been reported to camp as much as 30 hours. So the question is to our Euro-gamers, would you do it? And if so how long is too long?

Best bet for Europeans would be to fly to Japan to get your console there and a voltage adapter, because you won't have any problems finding one.

LOL so true..I think i saw a report a few weeks ago saying how many of each system and handhelds sold..

Xbox was the least...Total of about 93 sold in the WHOLE year..

Go to Japan and its an easy win!
(Talking about japan)

Camping would be a good idea if you dont have a pre-order set up. Only other way to ensure that you get a 360.

People in Europe don't tend to get as fanatical about these things, they will try their best to get their hands on one, but most people wouldn't wait in line for 12 hours in the freezing cold to get it.

Ive got three pre-ordered!! 1x dixons (online) No idea where i am inline?!?!?
1x Game 20th inline
1x comet 4th inline
I really dont think it will be as bad in the UK!?!?!(i hope) The major citys im sure will see immediate sell outs but in the smaller citys like the one im in there dosent seem to be as much of a buzz. I preordered at comet really late and i was 4th in line!! i should hope they at least get 5 consoles!?!? They contacted me by phone the other day to ask me what package i wanted and told me that they would be bundled with games!! Which is ok as im planning to get a few!!
Can anyone reccomend a quality site that covers the UK launch and is updated regularly?!?!

I think if people really wanted the console that bad then they should've pre-ordered, unless some people think that their reserved consoles might be sold(which incredibly happens)

My friend was lucky on the launch of the PSP, as he got one without preordering.
I went to his house with my PSP ready to show off my beauty and he has one?!?!? He managed to get the second last in the store with a decent deal=

We don't tend to do the whole 48 hour campout thing. Infact, if people are planning on doing this then I think the retailers are going to be a little unprepared. I don't think a single employee of Asda (aka Wal Mart's Uk store group) know what the hell a 360 is. There'll be the inevitable queues in Oxford street but I can't see this phenomenom being spread nationwide.

I hope you guys have fun camping. Make sure you come before 7pm, if i had to recamp i would have came at 4pm. Get one of those real warm sleeping bags. 2 pairs of socks on you, 2 coats, 1 sweater. If you can't a sleeping bag get at least 2 bed confertor. This is for north places where its cold.
