I went into the ASDA in Queensferry and asked at their technical counter. They confirmed that they were getting in 8 Premium boxes and 4 Core. They wouldn't say what time they were going on sale or how they were going to sell them though.....!!!!

It could be chaos unless they come up with something....especially as the store is 24 hrs...!!

I just spoke to Tesco, in particular the Watford Tesco Extra.

They said they were selling Xbox 360's at launch, however even though they're a 24 hour store they are not doing a Midnight Launch. The customer service advisor actually said this:

Me: Are you doing a midnight launch?

Tesco: No, it's not like the Harry Potter launch, we're just going to put them out whenever we get the chance?

Me: What???? Are you expecting many people?

Tesco: Yes, but we're just not doing a launch, we don't know if we'll even have them for midnight, we might not get them until December 2nd. We'll just put them out when someone's available to do it.

Me: (Muttering under breath...crazy fools) Thank you, good bye.

So it looks like Tesco are also going for the chaotic release rather than actually planning anything, even though they are actually expecting a lot of people to turn up....madness!!!

Hi everyone, I have just called my local Asda in Liverpool and they have said that 24 hr stores will start selling from midnight on 2nd December but to call the day before to ensure the shipment has arrived.

I am hoping this will be my saviour after game$tation called me to tell me they were not going to honour my pre-order from early september.

The biggest electronics store we have is Dixons, who also own Comet, Currys and PC World, and they have sold out of preorders, so I doubt you would be able to buy one from there on launch day.

16 hr was but it only snowed for like 1 hr. so i was ok. Right now they're is atleast 1 in of snow. I dont know if it would be worth it with that kind of cold and for 24hr.

Just go in at midnight ask them if they will sell you a 360 and see what happens. Sometimes they will do it since it isn't in breach of release date. Worth a try anyway.

Just got off the phone with my Local ASDA and they said they will be selling from 12.01am on 2nd Dec. They also said they have had alot of enquiries and that i would need to get there at least 1 - 2 hours before to grab one. Starting to get kinda worried, looks like ill be bugging the Entertainment desk for a long time....

Phoned the stores in my area. Aintree said from midnight, Huyton said from 7am and so did Hunts Cross.

Also just visited the Argos as Speke and they are not sure if there will be any special opening for the launch or what quantity they will get but they are not allowed to take pre-orders. My plan Aintree asda from about 4 pm and then if I'm unlucky at midnight straight to speke with a sleeping bag!!!!!

It depends like out bestbuy wouldn't sell it at midnight since its a cooperate thing and the manager would get fired.

I think anyone hoping to nab one at Asda is going to end up dissappointed. Most of them are going to end up with the staff (I've seen many reports on another forum of this) so there's only going to be 3 or 4 at most at easch store = no chance in hell. You're going to have to get their 24 hours early and hope to God they let you sleep in the electronics department. I would say your best bet is Makro or WH Smiths, can't think of many other places to be honest.

I can confirm that if the store isnt on the list they are not getting an allocation of xbox 360's.

There will also be a second drop on the 9th and a third drop on the 16th of December

That was internal business information, and Asda can actually sue you for releasing it to the public under the DPA, and you don't want to **** with Walmart Corp.

Hi, I can confirm that the Norwich shipment is correct.

And I have been told (From a high source) that there wont be a midnight launch and they will be open as usual from 8am.

Hmmm, i'm not likeing the idea of queueing for 24hours or even 4 hours. Asda stores sound a bit to clued up. My local watford confirmed that they'll be aboslutley no queuing/ticket allocation/reservation. It's just a big ruck for them.....wahayy!

Just spoke to my Local Asda and they confirmed price will be around £280 for the Premium but have been told by a member of staff they are advising people to call in case the units aren't delivered and they are gonna tell people they haven't been delivered so the staff can get them
