i half agree. japan should wait, i'm not trying to be mean but, it's not like they care about the 360 so why is it so important that they recieve it before next year. handle the people that want it first.

Or how about the US waits, we waited last time so surely thats fair, no? Believe it or not there is a world outside of the US and there are many paying customers in Europe, and indeed Japan, why should you get preferential treatment? Their is a real market opportunity in Europe with no PS3 for a year and a half and above all else it's the right thing to do. The PS2 abslutley destroyed the Xbox over here yet we've managed to sell out 360 preorders 3 times over, a lot of that is simply because Microsoft is treating the European market with a little respect, which makes a change. I don't like stereotyping but you sure aren't doing your best to rid the selfish, ignorant and arrogant American sterotype are you?

Well, Japanese systems launch in Japan first, and American systems, such as Xbox and Xbox 360, launch in US first. Either that or they launch in the territory that they feel will be the biggest buyers...

It to control imports and release dates. Lets say a movie is out in the US and is out on DVD and in the UK its not out in Theaters yet. A lot of ppl would just import the dvd and then not see the movie. Which cuts the theaters sales. So the stop this they put a region lock, same concept for games. Just like the Xbox 360 isnt out in the UK yet, if they're was no region lock a lot of ppl could have imported the us ver. and screwed up the us launch. You get the picture its the same for games.

Gosh this was our chance to finally get back at Japan since they make us wait about 3-4 extra months for every other freakin' system besides Xbox. But, what does MS do? They share the units produced because they HAVE to have a worldwide launch and they HAVE to make more money....and I also agree that almost no one in Japan is going to buy the 360.......Bill Gates you sick son of a b!&%$ it's not like you're not rich enough.....

EXACTLY!!! Plus, they every system before us, since Microsoft produces the only American-made system, every other video game console company (Sony, Nintendo) is all based in Japan it sux bad.

hmmmm well you try and do a better world wide launch. Theyve managed to ship one hell of a lot of consoles. True not enough to meet demand but how hard where ps2s to get hold of on launch?
Not to mention the ps2 sucked pretty hard. I feel ripped off for paying 300 quid for it tbh.
And your complaining about not getting a 360 on time....well japan will get the ps3 long before you get your hands on it.
And tbh if your not going to buy a console just because you cant get hold of one before christmas its a crap reason. The 360 is looking like a solid console, im in love with the controller, its just perfect. The launch titles are some of the best ive ever seen on a launch. Most of them are only using 1 or 2 cores aswell so there is plenty more to come both in gameplay and graphics.
Yeah its crap I cant get hold of one in the uk, but ive put an order in and il be happy when it arrives wether its before christmas or after, as long as i get one.
And on your other comment ur gonna wait for the ps3, i just have to say why? from day one its looked like a big disapointment to me. From the weird architecture and pre rendered bull****, all the way to the smallest weirdest looking controller you will ever see. I mean the dualshock 2 gave me cramp cuz of its small size, this will kill me, i mean its practially designed to fit into the smallest of japanese ppls hands, im gonna break the thing if i try 2 use it.

Exactly. My huge ass'd hands would pretty much cry after playing Tribes for about 2 hours (best PS2 in my opinion). I guess it is almost a good thing I got the ****ty PS2...that made me get an XBOX and now a 360 (well, a 360 whenever the hell the 2nd shipment of 360s make it to my crummy town).

Not trying to be selfish, but i have to agree. It should have been split up between the US and europe. 1. Xbox just isnt popular in japan. Period. And 2. They make us wait for everything, why should we inconvienience ourselves so they can have xboxes to sit on shelves.
