I'm ****ing pissed off. I called asda like a week earlier and they told me they will be getting stock. Just got back home from asda now and apparently they have no stock. I try call tesco extra but answer.

Well here in cold scottish glasgow, tesco extra 6 in stock, got told theres one person outside waiting.. and no one else had appeared by launch..
tried to get my mum to take me up and get mine but she said no coz she already ordered on play.com and now i gotta wait, i nearly smashed my video ipod off the wall i got that angry on launch coz i want it so badly
pre ordered on play.com about a week ago, chances of me gettin mine are verrrrrrry slim, hopefully i get it for crimbo, but not getting my hopes up, just gonna be very disapointed with MS if they dont get their act together and push those damn factory workers harder (hopefully they do and it dosent cause problems)

chrisy keep on the look out for argos i'd say.

you can cancel your order from play.com if you find it anywhere else (what i'm going to do)

Argos aren't taking pre-orders and say they're expecting a few small shipments limited to one per household each before xmas.

So i'd say keep checking argos and hope you find stock on their website. If you do cancel play.com and get one from there.

just a tip for some people, try small independent stores, most of them have 100 units before christmas and have only had 20 to 25 of them so far so that may be best bets, also they shipments are around tuesdays according to the owner of my local indy store

what would u say were small independant stores tho, most of them have several other retail stores about.

Independants are a very bad bet, large retail chains always get priority over independants. To look out for large chains that you usually don't associate with videogmaes would be my best advice.

in London anyway most indy stores get pretty much a very good stock level, even a store along a small market get 100 units

I have just heard that Comet and Dixons will be selling more units from Wednesday so keep your eyes open, dont know how many though

went to t3sco in cirencester at 10am ask if they were having any delivered
they said that they didnt know,
had a phone call from my brother at 4pm telling me that there were two people Qing and to get down there asap.
got down there at 4.15 and Qed from then till 12.03 i was number 4 the Q, the worst bit was not knowing if there was any coming in at 6pm there was 10 in the Q
at 8pm we were told 10 were coming in happest day of my life it was along wait but we all had fun and the time soon pasted by
total time Qing 7h.45mins but i got my premium 360

i started queing at tesco, then the guy game out and said we only have 10, i was number 12 in the que. So i went home and ordered one off gameplay lol. I am now somehow in the 2nd batch which is nice.

went into Game today and questioned one of the employee's asked a few Q's;
Me: "hi, do u have any xbox 360's in stock?"
Game Employee: "no sorry!"
Me; "when will u be getting them in, do u have any ideas"
Game employee: "no one seems to know when it could be"
Me; "how many consoles did you get on launch?"
Game employee; "sorry but im not allowed to tell you that information"
me; "why not???"
Game eployee; "im just not gonna tell you"
*i walked out and left *

went into Gamestation and asked similiar Qs..;
Me: "hi, do u have any xbox 360's in stock?"
Gamestation Employee: "nahhh pal sorry"
Me; "when you think they will be in stock?"
Gamestation Employee: "it could be febuary before they are on shelves but we could still be fulfilling pre orders for the around 200+ pre orders we have had"
( i think he was slightly over exagerating there with the 200 :P )
so i then asked him the mighty question of how many did you get in for launch
he replied...
Gamestation Employee: "emmm, about 32, no no no around 38"
Gamestation Employee: "if you want one you can pre order and u could maybe have it for feb, £20 deposit tho or can come in and trade games upto the £20"
then i had to leave, but im gonna keep looking around

he's not exagerating about quantity of pre orders, most companys took in excess of 200-250 preorders until all there head offices thought oh bugger were not going to be able to forfill these orders we'd better stop... He's exagerating about the quantity of the shipment to the store, it woud be closer to 10-20 (this appears to be average quantity shipped to the shops)

look outside Gamestation, it says on a white letter that it wont be able to fulfil all its pre-orders. I laughed when I saw that.

i read it in game, the notices were plastered to every display box they had. i felt sad reading it because i dont have my 360 yet lol
