ebay might become the place to buy a 360

todays 12/18 right after me being dissapointed by the second launch (i was 37th and they only had 34)
well i come home and look on ebay, and to my suprise the prices of 360s dropped dramaticaly. There are no 360s selling for 1000 anymore people are bidding a maxium of 100 to 150 bucks over retail so maybe if you wait a little while (1 -2 weeks) buying a 360 on ebay would actually be a good way to get a 360

but on a further note, Sony has announced that spring 06 is when the ps3 is going to be launched

(as i was typing this i just was hit with the truth my opinion is that microsoft is holding off on shippments of 360s to put them on selves in stores when the ps3 launches!!!!!!! the 2nd shippment was only to create more hype for the console)

I camped at Best Buy last night for 9 hours and still didn't get one....I was #43 on the list and they only go in 39 units, so when I got home I went on to ebay and won an auction for $500, it comes with the premium bundle, and extra wireless controller, and PDZ. So I got a great deal. I'm having it shipped 2 day air via UPS. So I should have it by Wednesday.

i just got one day today didnt have to wait for more than 2 hours, at 10 o clock we got tickets and came back the next day and just picked it up..i guess its okay, its not all that but its still fun, live is ok but some of the stuff i ****ed up like you cant play with your friends on call of duty and perfect dark is fun. Its an ok system and right now im addicted to it like crack but i might sell it some time soon.

I think all big reatailer stores are getting more 360s in January, especially Circuit City and Best Buy again....

expect it in NA around christmas and in EU at that time or a few months later. sony won't do a world launch like MS. they love japan too much.

I'm not a fanboy of any system, I buy what I like, but I have a feeling that Sony is going to learn a BIG lesson from this whole 360 fiasco and blow the 360 out of the water, and no I don't think they'll do a worldwide launch, it seems to me that Sony is less driven by greed than MS is. I mean, they've gotten it into their heads that they don't NEED more money, but of course, MS on the other hand HAD to release their new system before the PS3 so that they could attempt to be ahead of Sony, which I doubt they can do at this point. Do you think that Sony is already producing PS3s? I sure hope so. I'd hate to see another shortage like what's happening right now and with the PS2.......

Yea Ebay is resonable now for the 360, Still wish I had got one on pre order to sell and then make enough money to buy another one and have a profit hehe.

I now it's really weird but I live in Amsterdam and Some small computer store had a Poster of Xbox 360's being in stock I asked How many the still had and they had 17 left.I wish I had the money

If you haven't noticed, MS released worldwide for more MONEY. Money is all about greed. They could have waited to release the systems in different parts of the world at later times. They also could have sent less to Japan, they can't be that stupid to believe that they were going to sell out there like they did in the US. And yes, I agree, it was also a damn stupid idea.

What the whole point in any vendor to make a console if theyre going to lose money of it forever and no make Money. Sony, Nintendo and MS all make console to make a profit in the video game industry. The whole point of a company is to make money.

They didn't make more money, and it will hurt them in the long run...

There are consoles sitting in Japan that an American would be happy to perchase right now... They knew they weren't going to sell in Japan... Why screw us???

If they had only released the Xbox 360 in the U.S., they would have sold 100% of the consoles... That sounds like the greedier (but better ) way to go... But they did it worldwide, and the people that want it can't get it, and people who have never shown intrest in it could go out and buy 5 tomarrow if they wanted...

I don't call that greed, I call that utter stupidity...

Wait....Sony....doesn't.. ...need.....more....money . LOL. So I'm assuming them cutting 7% of their total worldwide workforce was for fun? Or them losing money on almost every other department of their company and staying afloat by the Playstation and some other divisions is a good thing for them? LOL, they don't need more money, they are being sued left and right, losing money on departments, and cutting TEN THOUSAND (7%) of their total workforce worldwide, and they don't need more money. Right.

And I seriously doubt Sony is producing more PS3s, they got theh dev kits in like what ? September. And then they started having overheating problems, and their BRD aren't 2x so they are having a problem with some movies if I recall correctly. Good luck Sony, you better not **** this up cuz I need to play MGS 4.

Kmart had the premium bundle in stock today on their website for $400 for about lol I don't know, maybe 20 minutes? Xbox360tracker.com is a good site to go to, stores used to get a few every day, but not so much anymore. Right now, ebay is the best option, unless you're willing to pay $2000 for a bundle at target.com, it comes with an HDTV lol.
