My uncle works for Microsoft. He said that they just made fixed versions so instead of them shipping my 360 on the 16th, they shipped it the 18th but, that means I won't have it for Christmas

. But, I will have it Monday or Tuesday which isn't too bad. I hope they fixed the tilting scrtach thing. I guess I'm just lucky. So if you're store got a shipment after Decrmber 18, 2005 you have a fixed version! Look, someone's selling a new one on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Microsoft-Xbox-3...ayphotohosting
. I wouldn't sell mine, though.

Hopefully the 360 i have right now doesn't have any major problems...haven't come across any right now..

My 360 was from the original shipment, it has only froze once, and that was after I had played it for about 12 hours straight for the third day in a row. I also accidently hit it when a disc was in play, but nothing happened to it.

Um, last I checked all of the units coming out in the 'second shipment' have manufacturing dates ranging from Oct to first week in December so how would they have managed to get the glitches from launch worked out if the majority of units were made BEFORE launch?

Even the absolute LATEST ones (made up to 12/07) were made only 2 weeks after launch, and most issues were barely taken seriously around then. There's no way M$ could've implemented major design changes into the supply chain that quickly, not even something minor like the dvd drive 'bumpers' as that would require finding new suppliers for gigantic amounts of reliable dvd drives almost overnight.

Most of the units in the first shipment had September to early October dates.

All of the people saying the second shipment is bug free either heard a bogus rumor or have though up a pretty good ploy to get a few extra bids on ebay.
