Internet Connection Sharing and XBOX?
So I decided that I was gonna try to get Xbox Live running (WITHOUT the wireless adapter) on a wireless network. It can be done (So don't tell me it can't... And don't tell me to go buy one :P).
One of my biggest problems (At least I guess so), is that I am trying to share my internet connect via a *Mac*. I have it enable, and I did eveything someone with a normal knowledge of computers would do. (So, again I don't need suggestions like "Do you have internet sharing turned on?") I also went and gathered as much information about the addresses my router has assigned things and whatnot.
I've read guides, where people have gotten it working, but I am not one of them. (Please don't copy and paste a guide, because most likely I have already read it) I understand that I cannot have the XBOX network settings on automatic if I do this with a Mac, and I don't
My problem is I can pass the IP Address test (Not because I have a connection, but most likely because I have manually assigned it an IP). I CANNOT, however, pass the DNS test. I have given many different (and correct/appropriate DNS addresses) in the manual input tab, and cannot get it to work.
Has anyone else had this problem, and, if so, how did they resolve it???
**Sorry for sounding maybe a little too direct, especially in my comments in parenthesis, I am just getting increasingly frustrated with this not working.
Lol @ the Mac philosophy of "It works right out of the box"
