no it wont work, the play and charge kit doesnt send data through the usb... only uses it for charging... when its pluged in, it still uses the wireless mode to connect with the 360 instead of the pc

20 bucks at best buy. I love it too. I am wondering if it will work as a headset for cs. I am going to go try that right now.

I find this quite annoying as when I plugged it in it came up with 'Xbox 360 wireless controller via Plug & Play kit' installed in the new devices thing, and it shows up in device manager. But it doesn't work in any games, so I take it you can charge it from your computer but to use it you have to buy a wireless adapter?
