![]() Hi All, Here is a new release of Portable VNC for Custom FW 3.x only. For those for haven't seen previous versions, VNC let you access to your PC desktop from anywhere using a wifi connection. What's new in version 1.2.5 : - Real hostname are now supported in the configuration menu ! It should be usefull if you want to connect to your PC from anywhere and if you have a dynamic IP. Of course you can still specify a static IP address - IR Keyboard is now active in all menus - New keyboard mapping (previous one was very confusing) - Display help on keys to use for each menu The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker (author of the PSP IR Keyboard Library), and the Virtual keyboard is based on the Danzel code. PSPVNC has been written by NHD from TeamXos, and it's based on the PalmOS VNC client. It is distributed under GNU licence, and sources are provided. The IR keyboard part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard. This should be the last release, only if major bugs are found. ** WARNING ** Host configurations file generated with previous versions are NOT compatible with this one ! You can download it on my blog : http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/ Enjoy, Zx.

A new one already? Sweet! Downloading right now. Did you fix the game mod? Because the other version didn't let me leave game mode.

Going to try that right now. Is there a way to make it disabled without having to return to the menu?
Wow nvm I never noticed that. That's crazy!!

Hey, this is great, I just discovered this program and (after a certain amount of hair-pulling) it works fine.
...Except for a couple things, which I think have to do with the server machine being a Mac. 1) When I view my host machine (OS X 10.4.9 running Vine VNC Server), it looks beautiful and scrolls around and I can click and so forth -- but I can't see a mouse cursor! A bit of a drag for getting anything done. Does anyone know a solution to this? 2) When I go to enter text, the keyboard on the PSP side of things seems to be working fine, but it must be giving the Mac the wrong characters because, apart from lower-case letters and numbers, everything else turns up gibberish or nothing at all. Most crucially, I can't seem to make "delete" or "enter" work -- without which not much can get done. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this, or whether the program can be tweaked for a Mac setting? There's that pretty Mac icon when you set up Portable VNC, so it's a bit frustrating to be so close yet not quite usable. Any help would be much appreciated. |

this has a LOT of problems when used on a mac:
all special keys do not work (tab, del, enter, etc...) lack of an apple key, but has the normal useless ctrl keys double clicks don't work (too slow?) it would be very, very nice if (when the mac os is selected) there was a working keyboard T_T |

HTH Cheers, A. -= Double Post =- ZX81, first of all, great job. Then, I was just trying to compile it but gives me some errors; I guess is because I don't have the IR keyboard library installed on my cygwin environment. How and where can I get it, please? Second, I tried to "disable" it, such as in the makefile and in the psp_main.c file. It compiles fine, but the EBOOT hangs my PSP, so maybe isn't that enough to compile it only with the danzeff stuff? Thanks for any tip. Cheers, A. P.S. Now that I've seen your blog I _do_ understand why zx81... I started my programming with a Spectrum, so... Last edited by MrMojo; 06-17-2007 at 10:12 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

svn://svn.pspdev.org/psp/trunk If you don't want to compile it by yourself you can download the PSP-SDK i use : http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/public/psp/...pspdev.tar.bz2 (you should find the pspirkeyb lib) Quote:

Well, if anyone comes to this thread interested in the Mac issue, I've figured out a way around the no-cursor issue, but still haven't managed to get the keyboard to work. Sadly, I can see the key codes in the source file, but I don't have the time to work out how the PSP SDK works...
As for the cursor, I just have a cute little mail action + apple script that, when Mail receives an email with the right subject line, launches and starts VNC and simultaneously launches a program called "PinPoint" which makes its own custom cursor which does appear on the PSP. A second properly titled email then will quit Pinpoint and close the VNC server. Any help with the keyboard issue would still be appreciated... |
