Smile PSPWrite: A Text Editor for PSP v1.2.1 (bug fix)

Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPWrite the text editor for PSP.

It permits to edit even huge text file, in both dos and unix mode, using iso8859-1 (8bits)
characters encoding. All iso8859-1 characters are present in the "Danzeff like" virtual keyboard.

The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker.

It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 5.x-m33, and for the IR keyboard
part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard on PSP FAT.

What's new then in 1.2.1 ? very few things :

- Add read-only mode to use pspwrite as a book reader
- Fix issue with sleep mode (psp crash)

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

ZX-81's web site

Happy Easter to all of you,

Enjoy,

Zx.

Is there some kinda simple generic USB keyboard driver you could throw into the app? Or would you have to make several ones by hand?

Nice Text Editor. You should really look into the Daedalusx64 Project.

ZX - I have 2 questions regarding PSPwrite:

1) There is a small bug, that if you scroll to the top of a document using the analog stick, it freezes the program, and the PSP shuts down.

2) Why is it, when I edit something with PSPwrite, then open it with notepad on windows, it is all crunched up into one huge paragraph with no spaces ?

Thanks for this, and all your awesome emulators ZX - your the best

Thanks for your feedback, i will fix that bug asap. Regarding issue (2) PSPWrite save the text file using unix cariage return characters. If you want to write "Windows" compatible file, you can enable "Dos mode" in pspwrite settings.

I haven't been able to reproduce that bugs ... if you can send me (see readme file to get my email) the file you were editing i will try to reproduce your issue.

It happens in ANY file I edit with PSPwrite.

I'll give you some details on the issue:

-Open any text document (preferably one with a few hundred lines)

-Scroll down a good way - then use the analog stick to fly straight back to the top line of the document. (It must be the top line to make it freeze)

ALSO:
My PSP info-

- PSP 2000 SLIM
- Motherboard: TA-085v2
- Firmware: 5.50 GEN-B2 (Although the freeze bug also happened on 5.00 M33-6)

Thanks again ZX

Thanks for your feedback. But even with your advices i haven't been able to reproduce that bug. I've put latest version of pspwrite in psp/game5xx folder and i've tried with a huge file using analog pad to scroll up, but i haven't been able to freeze the psp .
