[Release] Portable VNC v1.2 now working with 2.5FW
Hi All,
Here is a new version of portable VNC working with 2.5 FW.
What's new in this version :
+ Compile/Port on latest version of PSPSDK
+ Support >= 2.5 FW
+ Add Support for DHCP (works now with my wifi router)
+ Bug fix (exit hangs) on FW >= 2.5
My contribution on this app is minor (only code rewritting to fit new interface of PSPSDK,
and copy/paste wifi code from psp-ftpd).
I just wanted it to work on my PSP 2.5.
I've not tested it with 2.6, but it should work properly.
Portable VNC is distributed under GNU licence, and sources are provided with the archive.
Hope that helps, :)
Cheers, Zx.
edit: here is a new version working also for 1.5FW : pspvnc v1.2.1

Seems to be a connection problem between your PSP and your PC ... (may be you've got a firewall that blocked input connection on port 590x ?

If you have a 1.5 FW, you need not this version :) (take the original v1.1 it works great).

I don't think so, the router won't reject IP packets on your LAN. May be you've entered a bad IP address ? or a bad port number ? Try with other port, such as 5901 ?

In the PSP network configuration menu, you can specify DHCP or static IP network.

Can you guys post a tutorial on how to connect to ur home network from a wifi hotspot? i love this app and use it all the time around my house, but i'd love to be able to check the status of my home while away from it. say at a friends or overseas.....
edit: Tight VNC werks the best(even with windows firewall + a router), also make sure ur psp's use a static connection, otherwise it won't werk.Last edited by soopergooman; 05-08-2006 at 09:06 AM.
