Smile PSPColem: A ColecoVision Emulator for PSP v1.0.3 (final ?)

Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPColem the Colecovision Emulator for PSP.

What's new in version 1.0.3 :

- Add Load/Save/Del states menu !
- Add .col as valid extention for rom files
- Bug Fix: emulator configuration is now properly loaded on startup.

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

I hope this version is the last one (only if major bugs are found )

Enjoy,

Zx.

Hey Thanks again for the update. For those of you that hate how long the title screen takes to load on the colecovision (if you owned one you certainly would appreciate this), here is a hack that makes it instant almost; you need to extract and overwrite the original boot code. It should be extracted in: ms0:/psp/game/pspcolem

I didn't make the hack or anything, but I noticed it worked on this emulator.

hey zx-81 I dont know if you know this but I guess it's the rendering but in pitfall now right after the alligators Mr. Pitfall an image not the playable freezes on the the right and the rendering of the trees are off.

BTW the game worked great on the previous versions so it's not a big deal. Just wanted to let you know if you didnt.

Zx, I dunno if ColEM supported any of the expansion modules, I know Adamem does, if you can do you think you could enable the wheel as the analog nub, and one of the buttons as a the pedal. You have done so much great work already, but if you did that, you'd make my day!

[rant]
I wonder why Nintendo never released any non sports coleco games in like the past 27 years. I noticed some sports tv-games recently but that is like in the last year, why wait this freaking long for a console with such good games, and why sports of all things, argh...

For those who didn't know, during the video game crash of the early 80s Coleco was bought by a card company called Nintendo, soon afterwards they released their own improvement console NES and the rest is history.
[/rant]

BTW I finally got Adamem emulator (which is the best coleco emulator ever (pain to configure though), working on Windows XP perfectly. Here is a zip of how I did, includes batch files that once you set it up as the readme states you can simply drag roms over, launch and play with Sound and Joystick Support!

**LINK REMOVED SEE NEWER POST FOR NEW FILE**

EDIT: BTW to exit the Adamem Emulator press F10, to exit the dosbox emulator type exit and hit return. sorry forgot to post that.

If you happen to have any coleco Adam (the computer) disk images I went ahead and made a batch file that will run them by click and drag. You'll need to remember to press F9 in order to use the keyboard, but then it should work just fine.

I've updated my PC Coleco Adamem Frontend Loader to version 2.1, the previous file uploads are deleted, and you can download it here:

http://rapidshare.de/files/21967962/...aller.zip.html

*Changelog*

Faster but still insync game emulation.

AutoInstaller -remember to install dosbox to default directory, otherwise it won't work, but you can make your coleco directory anything, just don't make the path name too long.

Added autoload of file extension by doubleclicking on them (works for all games that don't require the wheel or other expansion)

*To Enable this feature* Run File_Associate.exe at your install directory, it will also make a desktop shortcut for you.

Hope somebody finds use for this, I know I like it, so I thought I'd Share.
