Cool PSPVBA: GameBoy Advance Emulator for PSP v1.2.0 (Media Engine)

Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPVBA the GameBoy Advance Emulator for PSP.

* This version doesn't work for +2.0 FW ! *

What's new in version 1.2.0 :

- All the sound part has been rewritten to use the media engine (faster)
- Graphical Unit access improvement
(disable cache, may result in graphic artefacts but faster !)
- Add new beautiful icons and background designed by Win-Win (Shadow) !
- Add option to enable/disable GBA battery/flash save
(to avoid annoying disk save every 10 seconds in several games)

How to use it ?

Have a look to the README.txt file !

One binary version for 1.5 FW and sources are included in the zip archive.

This package is under GPL Copyright, read COPYING file for more information about it.

Enjoy,
Zx.

QJ upload system doesn't work so here is a link to my blog to download the zip file
(but i've not a good bandwidth, so if qj staff can do something ...) :

EDIT: Here is a new version that fix several bugs (such as freeze on exit)

http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/public/psp/...vba-v1.2.1.zip

@chzyrat
The sound isnt that good since its very hard to make it better(its kinda fuzzy and stuff) but zx-81 has done a great job on this new release

as for gba emulators go this is the best one out by far

I found a bug!
When you assign the menu button to anything else than select it doesn't seem to work.
I discovered this when I tried to set up a config that uses the real select for select and the real start for start since I found it annoying to have them assigned to triangle and square...

Anyways, my brother uses the previous version and from what I can see it's a big speed improvement.

I've got triangle as the menu button and it works fine.

Nice one though, sound's bearable and games are running at almost proper speed.

zx-81, I cannot exit PSPVBA without doing a hard reset.. could you please fix this?
I tried you exit and then the home key, exit freezes application, and home menu doesn't work..

Also: Please make it go to the menu on startup.. I hate when default.gba starts up

I'm still not seeing (hearing) an improvement in sound - is there a setting I should be playing with? Fine work regardless, I just want to make sure I'm getting all I can out of it.
